What are their rankings like? I'd pick Hrgovic but Joyce has been brought along much better.

too high risk low reward for Joyce, i assume he will have one or two more over the hill pointless fights agaisnt 'names' and then thrown in with one of the champs to cash out in.

I do like Joe Joyce's movements. Kid's taking a good, solid, path.

I don't know if anyone really caught it, but, the last round of up and coming HWs all went down very singular paths. How early in Deontay's career did he start working toward the WBC? Early. Did he make any moves for the WBA prior to his run at the WBC? Nope. How about Tyson Fury? When he was fighting for the WBA mando what did he do for the WBC? Nothing. Joshua? He was about to fight an elim for the IBF when IBF champion Martin challenged him. What was he to the WBC, WBO, or WBA?

Joyce has that silly gold belt by the WBA, which ranks him automatically and put him in line for title unification with the real title.

The EBU is a WBC affiliate. Owning the EBU title guarantees top ten status in the WBC. Joe is currently not a top ten by the WBC ranking ladder, but, if he gets that EBU he will be ranked in the top ten automatically.

Hrgovic is not a top ten either. One of these non-top tens is going to be another non-top ten and take a top ten position from a man currently in the tens without beating anyone who is ranked above said top ten being displaced.

It's a ****in' great move. Because getting a guy like Pulev to risk his position is hard but kicking Pulev the **** outta the way because he doesn't do **** anymore is not.

I know, everyone hates the letter belts especially the unterbelts, but, this time, this kid, is not using them to hide he is using them to make sure he gets a title shot at one of the two real major and historical titles.

If he goes for a regional IBF and WBO man he is making a statement. He's saying I don't give a ****, I'll fight anyone just let me prove myself. I can dig it.

I kinda get what you’re saying but...

Fury went the WBO route, that’s why him and Hennessy started working with Warren.

And AJ was going the WBC route, fought for and defended their international title and was ranked #1 or #2 I think. He never really targeted the IBF, it just so happened that arguably the weakest HW champion in history became IBF champion, so it was an opportunity that couldn’t be missed.

                    Looking at the rankings though...

It’s likely not gonna be accepted by:
                    1. Tyson Fury
                    2. AJ
                    3. Whyte
                    4. Pulev
                    5. Chisora
                    6. Takam
                    8. Povetkin

                    7. Fury and 11. Helenius are both coming off losses last month so it’s unlikely to be them.

                    That leaves
                    9. Huck (would he take it?)
                    10. Camkiran (could be him tbf)
                    12. Hrgovic
