That is a rubber stamp done AFTER the fight is agreed on don't play dumb. Jojo is currently ranked higher then top 12 in the world by ESPN, Ring and every third party rankings but you think if Lou finally gets around to making a offer to golden boy and a deal is struck that the IBF is going to deny the fight on the basis that Jojo is not a quality enough opponent? After you just got done saying jojo is probably the best non title holder fighter in the world. lol IBF ranking at this point is irrelevant and not blocking this fight. You got to check in with the IBF before a non mandatory fight when you dragging a nobody off the street to make sure it isn't such an egregious mismatch that they refuse to sanction it as a voluntary. Don't pretend that applies with Jojo who is top 5 ranked by every belt org other then IBF and somewhere around the 5-7 highest ranked fighter period in the world. If a deal to fight is made the IBF will sanction it this is nothing more then a distraction thrown out by Lou after him and his fighter were exposed for lying.

Idk about your order of how things need to go down. Whenever I recall seeing a fight announced I usually recall seeing the guy ranked randomly or not so randomly. Its a bs thing, but lately Oscar seemingly is f#cking bs things up. So idk why JoJo isnt ranked, but I know its not on Team Tevin that he isnt. Thats Oscar who needs to do that.Comment

He's not ranked because there is no offer or fight. Why would they get him ranked now when he's already on the cusp of a world title shot from the other belt orgs? This isn't unusual tons of fighters most in fact are only ranked by 1, 2 or 3 belt orgs but not all 4 at the same time. They don't feel the need to pay all belt orgs and fight for rankings, secondary and regional belt status especially when you already in line for a title shot which Jojo is with the WBA. For example Teofimo Lopez is top ranked by 3 of the belt orgs WBC, IBF, WBO but he isn't ranked at all under the WBA. And why would he he already inline for a title shot and title eliminators with the other orgs so he doesn't care about WBA ranking right now. If he was given the offer to fight for a WBA title now Arum would tell the WBA and they would automatically put him in their top 10 rankings.
There are fights that are negotiated and agreed on all the time before the fighter is ranked by a specific belt org. It's only after it's agreed that they tell the belt orgs and request rankings once it's done it's official and announced. Unless it's a hilarious mismatch opponent the IBF goes and rubber stamps it because it's not a mandatory. The IBF is not threatening to not let Farmer fight a elite fighter in his weight class as a voluntary defense. Don't pretend this is holding up Lou from making a offer and negotiating a fight that they said they were doing back in July. FACT is this is now the second time this year that Farmer has ducked Jojo and even Farmer own promoter admitted he lied last week when he said they made a offer that Jojo turned down. And we do know Farmer has turned down a actual contract to fight jojo and a verbal offer to fight tank for 2M.Comment

And idk why Oscar wouldnt get him ranked for a belt that is maybe the easiest belt for JoJo to win. JoJo isnt getting likely to get over on Berchelt or Tank. He should wanna get a belt first & then fight those guys anyway. He gets more money for unifiying vs fighting for a belt.Comment

Of course you can. Floyd isn't ranked at all right now by the WBA. But pacquaio has been begging to fight him. If he agreed to fight Pacqauio tomorrow all Floyd and pacquio have to do is tell the WBA we have a deal to fight and the WBA would sanction and rank Floyd in their top 10 rankings. You see it every month out the blue a fighter who hasn't fought mysteriously get's added to their rankings at the same time they announce a fight. Floyd doesn't have to go and tell the WBA first get the the ranking and then start negotiating a fight with Pacquaio. LMAO And Golden Boy doesn't have to get Jojo ranked by the IBF before they make an offer because this isn't a mandatory fight.
Why spend money and time to get Jojo ranking by the IBF when they have no fight with Farmer and he's already jerked them around once turning down real contract offers for fights?
Jojo has already been given a guaranteed title shot already by another org he doesn't need to waste time paying anymore without a offer in hand. IBF is not blocking this fight

It happens all the time is Vanes a big deal? Vanes wasn't ranked by the IBF when GGG pulled him out of retirement and out the gutter and agreed to fight him last year. You can literally go month to month look at the ranking and find voluntary opponents that pop up out the blue and only get ranked at the time they announce their fights. I already gave you the answer why jojo isn't currently ranked by the IBF it's the same reason Teofimo hasn't bothered to get ranked by the WBA. Or why Oscar Valdez who has moved up to 130 but chosen to only get ranked by the WBO and WBC he isn't ranked by the IBF either along with the WBA. And he won't be because the WBO and WBC gave him the path to the fastest mandatory title shot. Why pay rankings and go through multiple eliminators with the IBF when you already been given your choice of a mandatory title shot with the other belt orgs? If Valdez agreed to fight Farmer tomorrow the IBF would rank him and allow the voluntary title fight. Why didn't Oscar Valdez bother to get ranked by the IBF or the WBA he just moved up to 130? Why didn't Teofimo Lopez bother to get ranked by the WBA? Tank just vacated and moved up to 135 yet he has only applied for ranking with the WBA not IBF, WBO or WBC. It's because Tank has been given number 1 ranking by WBA and a mandatory title shot at the vacant WBA regular belt. If these rankings didn't take time and money then all these fighters would be ranked across the board by all 4 belt orgs but that's not the case. there is nothing unusual about jojo not being ranked by the IBF he has already moved up the ladder with eliminators and rankings for the other 3 belt orgs and has a guaranteed title shot with the WBA. Matter fact not a single fighter in the Ring or ESPN top 10 at 130 is currently in the IBF rankings which shows you how irrelevant their rankings are. If Farmer wants to fight Jojo or anyone else he can do it's not a mandatory fight and you don't need to be ranked by the IBF for him to make a offer.Comment
