This would be a good fight but would end with Ortiz getting KO'ed.

Ortiz does have higher boxing IQ than Hughie, Price, and even AJ... but we saw him gas out very early in his last 5 or so fights.

Povetkin has gone the distance quite a bit longer and even looked fresh in the 12th against Fury.

Ortiz can win if he catches Povetkin like AJ did... otherwise, it is only a matter of time until Ortiz gasses out and gets dropped.

Povetkin lacks a defense. He will get exposed by Ortiz. King Kong is naturally stronger, bigger, can box, punch and has an overall better skill set than Povetkin. Alexander leaves himself too open for counters while Ortiz keeps his chin tucked in.

I see Povetkin sparking out the old Cuban like he did in the amateurs. Ortiz is one of the most overrated boxers out there and his notoriety is basically because he's Cuban. And the guy has to be one of the shi..ttiest Cuban amateurs that ever turned pro because he never qualified for any major amateur competition in Cuba.

I'd favor Ortiz, the higher IQ and more technical fighter slightly, but wouldn't be too surprised if Povetkin won. Two solid contenders, would be a great fight.
