But would he say this if Loma was with Matchroom and not Top Rank?

That means he scored it 116-112 Campbell or wider.

Why would I care what he thinks of Lomachenko knowing that?
Yes, good point, according to old Baz, Campbell won that fight?! Revealing insight into how much Hearns actually understands what's going on in the ring . . .

Barry thinks Campbell won by a landslide. That's really all that anyone needs to know about this interview.

Loma is in same situation Floyd found himself in. You outclass so many fighters that people expect you to make it look effortless every time, against everyone.

I'd have gone the other way and maybe given Campbell as many as 4 rounds, if I was being generous and scored a couple of the close rounds for him. Didn't have it quite as wide as the judges, but Loma was definitely the clear winner. Campbell can definitely be proud of his performance; sometimes the other guy is simply better, no matter what you do - and let's be fair, Loma's dad has pretty much built him up to be the "perfect boxer" since he first learned how to walk.

Scoring this fight live I was probably being a bit generous to Campbell, trying to anticipate judging bias from hometown advantage as influencing close rounds. I was rooting for him as the underdog as well. Even then I couldn't really justify any score tighter than 116-111 for Loma. It's not that Campbell fought badly, on the contrary I thought it was probably the most focused and carefully-planned performance that I've seen from him as a professional - but it still just wasn't enough against Loma's speed and accuracy. I think this is just sour g****s from Barry, I don't really think he believes what he's saying.

I nearly lost hope in boxing this weekend after reading all u guys comments and hearing what everyone had to say . I agree with hearn cambell boxed perfect kept his range nulified loma and made him look auful. I dont no what u guys saw loma did absulotley nothing in that fight except for late landing the knockdown late and cambell handled it perfect. Its shows how corrupt boxing is hes a big name build up to be big but got whooped. Most people who comment on this foum are not boxing fans but a bunch of batty boys who likes to see guy s in shape . Can one of u explain what u thaught loma did to win? A joke of a fighter hes no matrix he is a hypejob

I guess Loma is not supposed to even have a punch landed on him? He was fighting a former gold medalist and top 5 guy and he was tiny compared to the guy is he supposed to knock him out in the first round?
