Ward as commentator is honest about his attitude about boxing.

Ward's basic attitude about boxing is that anything goes in a fight.
The rules are for the ref to enforce,
Not for the fighter to obey.
A fighter should do anything legal or illegal to avoid being dominated.
I'm not a fan of Ward's style but I respect his toughness.
Ward's fights came down to wars of attrition.
Ward retired undefeated so that "anything goes" mindset obviously worked for him, but I think most fighters come up from the amateurs following the rules, so it's hard to intentionally foul the other fighter.

He was a dirty fighter to compensate for his boring style and win at all costs. Boring fighter, biased analyst.

Aye man, that's the grit he possesses to take him to the top tier of boxing. He's a tough mother***er, and basically what he was saying was when **** gets rough and tumble you need to stand your ground

The highlight of top Rank boxing is Ward and Bradley broadcasting.

Ward understands these are fights. The science is a tool but not the only tool.

At the end of the day boxing is about the win by any means.

"Nope Nope! That wasn't no low blow! Uh uhhhh"

Lol, but that's the right mindset to have. It's not how you win, it's as long as you win.

Exactly he was also encouraging Campbell (from afar) to go for broke in a fight he was badly behind in. Because there's no moral victories in boxing, it's a fight. You don't get brownie points for fighting. You show up two win. Very rarely the lower of a fight is rewarded.

I'm a fan of Ward Commentary...do I agree with everything he says of course not but he at least TRIES to be fair

Joe Tessitor and Timothy Bradley basically just FAN OUT for the Top Rank Guy on ESPN and that is it

Now if we could get some good commentary into PBC. That’d be great.

No commentator is perfect. I think Paulie is probably the best at the moment. Ward is pretty good but I feel like he is a bit biased at times towards fighters that he is friends with, like Crawford.
