I've always felt 135 should be his ceiling. He's small there.
Do people still think Loma should go to 140?

He's already borderline out of his depth size wise at 135 and has compensated by the grace of skill. It's hard for me to envision him beating any of the 140 elite. To me it's a bridge too far.Comment

Continuing from my previous comment...I do think Loma is skilled enough to adapt and still out box plenty of high level non elite guys up north. Danny Garcia, stuff like that. It would be fun to see. But a Crawford? Can't see him pulling it offLast edited by Sweet Scions; 08-31-2019, 08:59 PM.Comment

This always depends on whether you root for the fighter
Example: loma and GGG are puny children already fighting 3 divisions above....but Canelo is a true HW cherry picking Kovalev.Comment

I’m with you. I’d love to see the most skilled fighter move up to challenge himself. Show how far his technique, speed, can go. But that’s me as a fan and not considering what’s best for his career. I’d love to see it happen eventually against a good opponent down the road, but that could be years from now. I don’t think Mikey @140 would be crazy or anything though. I think Loma wins, even though I love Mikey. I don’t see a 140lb Loma all of a sudden eating punches all day. The damage the bigger guys do isn’t as compounded when u have slick defence.Comment

No he should most definitely not go to 140. Loma is already too small for 135, he has been the smaller guy with shorter reach in every single fight that he has had thus far at 135. His tremendous boxing skill is the only thing granting him victories.Comment
