Rough fighting only goes so far as the Zerafa and Crawford fights clearly show so to claim in effect that Horn only won against Packy because he fought rough is proven wrong right there. Both Z and C studied Horn's fights and both came up with plans to beat him which they both did easily.

Practards are excited at Horn being beaten but they are too clueless to realise that the above two fights put Manny in a worse light than ever.

And Horn was the same weight as both those guys when they fought. Doesn't change the fact that Zerafa closed the show perfectly against him.

Yeah I'd venture to say the quick and short answer is that Horn is progressively more vulnerable the higher in weight he goes. He's better at 147 than he is above 147. Some guys just click at certain weights. Maybe Zerafa was at his sweet spot... ?

Rushton thinks Horn lost the hunger. That may very well be. It had to be demoralizing to have Manny duck him for years, blow out Mundine and have more ducking. No fights at 154 beyond that.

Had Chino come back, he'd have been a great fight at 154 for Horn. Didn't happen.

He did say he was going to retire in a year or so. If he can't get a solid fight at 154, I say he should. Enjoy the money he made and the fame.

Not a Rushton fan at all, both times Horn has lost R has criticised him in public when perhaps R should have been looking at what he could do better.

I respect that though. Just like Eubank Sr. criticizing his son. They need to hear the truth.

AJ not hearing the truth from his trainer/manager is exactly what got him beat down. Even in fights he won where he was getting rocked or dropped they still kept feeding him BS.

Thinking back to the Crawford debacle Rushton failed to take responsibility for the several stuff ups then and by all reports is a hopeless corner man. He did a great job with the Packy encounter, that's a given and can never be taken away from him but Horn badly needed a conventional boxing coach too. Rushton doesn't want to know his limitations and that's dangerous where boxing is concerned.

Fair, but at least Horn doesn't have Tim Lane in his corner.
