Was there an old school 8 for amateur? I thought they had 7 divisions back in the day. Either way I hate them killing mens divisions where there is already competition to add womens divisions where there is no competition.
Good shout, thanks! Yeah I just checked the first Olympic Games where boxing was on the program, 1904, there were seven weight divisions: Middleweight up to 158lbs, and then Heavyweight being anything over that!
