To be fair when Crawford re-signed with Top Rank, Pacquiao was still with Top Rank, so part of the reason why he probably stayed was with the hope that he would finally get Pacquiao

Lets not act like Pacquiao signing with PBC wasn't a big surprise, that kinda came out of nowhere, I don't even remember even rumors of that even leaking out

      Q3 2020 - Crawford vs Kell Brook

      etc. etc.
Kell Brook isn't going to be at 147lbs by Fall 2020; with Amir Khan officially a ***** in public now, expect Brook to get a fight in before the year is out (likely at 154, but possibly near 150lb to not give Khan any opening to say ****), enjoy the holiday with his family, and then target a path to the WBO 154lb belt by about next fall.

That Ramirez fight for late next year seems right though; no idea what he thinks of Josh Taylor, but it's clear as day that Arum doesn't want smoke with Regis Prograis. Whomever wins is WBC/WBA/IBF 140lb champion and can basically write their ticket.

Expect Crawford to take the WBA regular title off Bes*****.

          Lol NOT!

Manny was already a free agent by the end of 2017!

Crawford extended his contract almost a year later! Knowing full well that Manny already signed with PBC.

Crawford didn't have to do that extension. It wasn't even expiring!

When did Bes***** win the WBA Regular title of which Manny hasn't vacated as of August 30, 2019?

Did Bes***** win an interim WBA title I'm not aware of?

Did he already fought someone for the WBA Regular belt? Which wasn't even vacated as of yet?

Lets do the timeline. Dan Rafael announces that Crawford signed an extension with Top Rank September 6 2018...

Mind you Pacquiao just fought Mattysse in July 15, 2018.

Now lets be honest, Pacquiao promotional status was very unclear. Yes Manny Lawyer came out and proclaimed he was a Free Agents but then Arum kept denying that so most of including Crawford himself I'm sure, just assumed that Pacquiao would ultimately work things out and stay with Arum and Top Rank. Announcement of Pacquiao signing with PBC came in October 2018 a month after Crawford re-signed

Nobody seen Pacquiao to PBC coming, I don't even think Arum seen that coming. Clearly some sort of Loophole was found, I don't know if fighting Matthysse in Malaysia helped get him out of whatever Deal Arum assumed he still had with him or what but yeah

So technically, when Bud re-upped his deal, Pacquiao was still with Top Rank according to ARUM!

Bes***** is fighting for it next. Pay attention to the moves behind the scene. Best believe Crawford will be taking that belt up off him.

A lot of "what if" statements here.

                    Woulda
                    Coulda
                    Shoulda

But not carved in stone. Facts.

There is no what if. Bes*****'s next fight is for the WBA regular.
