I could be wrong but I thought Smith gave up his WBC Mando spot when he entered the WBSS

EDIT: So I ended up reading this & after seeing interviews previously it seems like Hearn may be right. This guy is feeling himself, it looks like that alleged $10M payday has him spoiled. They're talking about ticket sales as if they're household names themselves.😭 He was just on the undercard of a pivotal fight. (A card he probably shouldn't have been on honestly...) If this 1 division champ facing a 2 weight world champ can't do good ticket sales in the UK then Callum has to be apart of the problem no?

Even if he leaves I highly doubt he goes to Top Rank & even if he does or goes to PBC I don't think he's getting any big paydays in the next 1-2 fights. Him leaving Matchroom may not be a good idea in the long run idk, especially because he's actually a UK fighter. I'm sure he'll make decent money for BJS & it's an opportunity to collect another belt which is more bargaining chips so I really don't know why he's not taking that fight. Although I think he beats BJS it looks like he's ducking him.

I understand it's prizefighting but some of these dudes really seem greedy.
How is Smith feeling himself or being greedy / He won the WBSS beating a Domestic Rival collected a Strap and what should have been used as a jump off to have him one Become a Big Name in the UK

It’s been almost a year since he won the a tournament and in that time , All Hearn has managed to do is have Smith fight on a Undercard in the States against a past prime Fringe Contender with no fans / Talk about killing any momentum built up. Smiths next fight is probably going to be a against another Opponent who won’t generate any buzz.

All Smith has to do is look at Degeale and realize that his best move is going with the PBC / There’s 2 straps / A domestic Rival / And a Couple Notable names for him. He’ll almost certainly have more Big fights make more $ and a chance to conquer a division with PBc compared what Matchroom can offer

Degeale had more Good Fights and made way more $ during his time with PBc then any fighter at Matchroom not named AJ

    Compare Frampton to Quigg
Frampton signs with Haymon / PBC and finally able make the Quigg Fight / 2 Big Fights with Santa Cruz / Parlayed That to signing with Warren and was able to have a home coming fight against a Future HOFer in Donaire and a big Domestic fight with Warrington

meanwhile since Quigg/ Frampton, Quigg has fought nothing but a bunch of no name no hopers on undercards and only real opportunity was when he was used as a Bside for Valdez , Then right back to no names on undercards afterwards and now is MIA

I don’t like how Quigg came in heavy against Valdez , But he f.ucking brought it 110% and should have been rewarded for that effort with more big fights but he seems to be essentially forgotten about at this point

It has nothing to do with being greedy with Smith but he’s probably trying to get the most out his career and there’s probably better options not with Matchroom

Hearn and McGuigan set up, promoted that fight it had zero to do with PBC. So now let's give Hearn that credit instead of PBC

/ 2 Big Fights with Santa Cruz
Frampton had to travel across an ocean but won fair and square, yet despite being the away fighter the PBC fans cried it was unfair Carl was allowed to bring fans along and rematch had to be even closer to LSC's home, Haymon and LSC are close and name kids after each other so Al of course backed LSC getting everything his own way and even lied that Frampton would get a 3rd fight in Belfast

/ Parlayed That to signing with Warren....
crazy spin talk here. Haymon won't give Carl a 3rd LSC fight, feeling betrayed Carl leaves. Somehow Haymon gets credit for this and even the Donaire fight?

You can tell how much Carl loves PBC by him going back there and not just leaving asap and going to Warren and then Arum. Oh wait...

Funny how Gallagher is saying the same things about Hearn that people with an ounce of common sense have been saying for a while

No sh.it Sherlock you don’t say . I was just pointing out the fight got made quickly after Frampton signed with Haymon , Don’t Know it care if Haymon was / wasn’t somewhat responsible for Hearn & McGuigan to finally stop having a d.ick measuring contest that was going on forever and prevent the fight from happening but it actually got made within months of Frampton signing with Haymon , a coincidence or not , who cares the fight got made

That’s not even the point I was trying to make , It was how Their careers have played out since that fight and I doubt the dominoes fell like that just because Frampton won the fight.

Cool story man , save your PBC Wanted LSC to win & Carl got shafted & Haymon prevented a trilogy from happening tears for another Day. The point is Frampton signing with Haymon he participated in 2 of the biggest most anticipated fights at 126 , Got well compensated and raised his stock and was able to be in other Big fights

First off you realize Haymon isn’t a Promoter so he may have felt betrayed he didn’t get the trilogy but he didn’t leave Haymon for Warren he left the McGuigans for Warren and you realize Frampton hated PBC / Haymon so much he was still aligned with Haymon/PBC even when he fought Warrington

After losing his world title, his unbeaten record, his trainer and his love of boxing, Frampton feels reborn and may even fight for five more years – if his wife lets him

Former two-weight World Champion Carl Frampton looks set to leave BT Sports & Frank Warren’s promotional stable to join the PBC revolution on ITV. According to Tim Smith, Vice President of Communications for Haymon Boxing, which still handles the fighter, the Northern Irish hero is unlikely to remain in his current promotional situation beyond his […]

I’m sure Being in 3 big high profile fights ( Coincidentally all happening after he signs with Haymon ) sure helped his negotiation leverage with Warren ( when he decided to leave Cyclone ) and what promises & guarantees were made to Frampton to sign with Warren ,

Even if McGuigan/ Hearn were the only reason Frampton/Quigg got made and Frampton never signed with Haymon , How many big fights would Frampton be involved in afterwards , Is his Profile the same if he goes back to fighting 2nd tier fighters afterwards like he did when he was just solely with the McGuigans , Probably not

But yeah Haymon has had no part in the career Framptons has had and the big fights he’s been involved in

Quite the coincidence, the mandatory got called yesterday lmfao

A fight against Caleb Truax would be a great start; Truax is validated as knowing how to fight, recognizable name opponent in the US and UK, is longer in the tooth but not really done yet, etc.
James Degale is still active isn’t he? He ticks all the boxes you just listed, plus her probably a bigger name in the US and the UK

Here's a quote for you since you clearly didn't read it and didn't see canelos name mentioned not once, but twice.

"It’s funny that as soon as Eddie hears that Callum could move elsewhere after having his head turned by more lucrative offers, he tries throwing the Anfield line and the ‘Canelo’ and Golovkin lines back out again,” Gallagher continued. “You’re not getting ‘Canelo’, he won’t come, "
Okay your right. But it's still funny how you have Canelo on your mind 24/7....
