Why do Americans hate British boxing fans so much?

I think brits are more we’ll informed than the average boxing fan, but annoying how they think we’re equal as boxing cultures. Britain is having a resurgence sure, but boxing has been dominated and is still dominated by Americans. There’s no getting around that.
So when brits say Americans hate brits I laugh because, what’s to hate? Americans go to The uk and get career high paydays off of your fervor. Carry on with your fandom, big brother supports.Comment

everyone is biased, even unintentionally, but with yanks they have a 'the US is the world' mentality which other nationalities don't have. it's understandable, the US is a big country with a lot going on. but it makes it harder for them to accept other perspectives
US have had more boxing success so it makes it harder for them to see a foreign fighter as elite. look at all the hate Pacquiao got on here. even though he put hatton to sleep, brits gave credit, all the hate against him on here was from US fans who couldn't accept someone else being the best. tonight loma is facing his second brit in a row, but all the hate on here against him is yank pbc fans not from britsComment

Cuz we do it better than Americans. We all heard what wilder had to say at the joshua wlad fight. He wanted some of that dazzle.Comment

Exactly right. If they can't appreciate non Americans being really good that's sad enough but they go beyond that and actually hate it so much they verbally attack non American fighters and talk crap about them.everyone is biased, even unintentionally, but with yanks they have a 'the US is the world' mentality which other nationalities don't have. it's understandable, the US is a big country with a lot going on. but it makes it harder for them to accept other perspectives

They just full on refuse to acknowledge anything that isn't American.Comment

Because despite losing to Americans in everything from sports to war- you delusional brits remain shouting out nonsense at the top of your lungs. It's like you're all on one accord and intentionally yelling lies and fantasy just to annoy us and well...we don't like to be annoyed. Heck wee fight amongst ourselves over here and if it wasn't for us already destroying your military and making your country submit we would have done it again. Brits need to stop being so darn racist, which I imagine is hard coming from a country like that, and stop being so puny. "Little man syndrome" is something that country suffers from.

ODLH was the last true embraced star in the US. But Floyd passed that torch to Fury. Fury is the people's champ. Many Americans are hyper critical of everything and don’t have tribal ties to sports teams or individual athletes.
Some of the greatest athletes from this country never really go the respect they deserve from fans in our country. They get criticized in their prime and get thrown away when they’re shot.
Just look at boxing: There isn’t one big American star right now. Mayweather was the last one but only because he was hated and everyone wanted him to lose. I think the last insanely popular and well-liked American boxer was Evander Holyfield. Maybe I’m missing someone but it seems like most of boxing’s biggest American stars are anti-heros people show up to to root against.
The average English fan on this board is the exact opposite of that non-tribal hyper-critical American fan. Their boxers can’t do anything wrong. They’re held up as all-time greats well before they can be judged that way or described as the best in the division despite a lack of proof. They also hold everything against every fighter who isn’t British. Many of you guys on this board love your fighters and hate everyone else and it’s annoying.
Examples:
The average British fan on this board will say Joshua is great and give a million excuses why he lost to Ruiz. In the same breath they’ll criticize Deontay Wilder for almost anything. He has fought fighters better than Ruiz and is still undefeated.
They’ll excuse Dillian Whyte’s and Tyson Fury’s failed drug tests, while they won’t excuse Povetkin, Ortiz or other boxers for their failed drug tests.
Dillian Whyte is held up as the top contender of the division because of everyone he’s fought by these fans yet they trash Deontay Wilder who has fought two boxers who are head and shoulders above everyone Whyte has beaten.
In short: Many Americans hate and criticize everything, even their own. Many Brits on this board will pretend anything from their country is the best thing ever. It’s a natural conflict.Comment

Look how many threads is started talking about Americans compared to Americans starting threads about Brits
NO issues with Brits at all, only with those who try to talk sh#t about American but then have the nerve to get sensitive when Americans talk sh#t back to them and play VICTIM!

A lot of Brits seems a bit obsessed with Americans and AMERICAN APPROVAL and when they don't get that Approval they get upset and start to become Anti American I guess
Plenty of British Fighters and A LOT of British Actors I'm huge fans of. Just like You Guys support your fellow Brits, stop getting so sensitive when Americans support Americans and making things so PERSONAL. We have the right to be bias to our fighters just like a lot of you guys are but when Americans are Bias people get offended but everybody else is allowed to root for their own Countrymen and that is considered "PRIDE"Comment
Literally descended from youse lot.
