Him being a tennis player is credit why he moves around well, maybe it doesn't register to you but athletes from even basketball ( Wilder ) have excelled , I know a guy over a hundered wins in the Ams with less then a handful of losses at CW back in the day who played tennis and was near Holyfield coming up. You guys need to get with modern times and stop living in that 70's eras. Athletes excel today, and how do you know hes not a boxing natural ? Do you know his family ?

Vianello has already fought one top prospect coming up Arsenbak Mahkmoduv a very strong Russian when he was very inexperienced and held his own even in the loss ,go take a look at that guy and tell me if a guy that doesn't belong ion boxing would want to fight him ? lol

I know barbers who went into boxing undeafeated ,your insane if you think a persons background tells if hes going to be a good boxer!
I'm older than most of you guys, but I consider myself modern enough to discuss this stuff. I am aware of the differences in eras, and what you say about multidisciplinary athletes is correct.

Vianello looks to me like someone who chose to be a boxer only because his dad could afford paying for his expenses. Not every Italian can afford that (see my last reply to Eco1 also).

What I mean is: I perceive him as someone whose boxing (and mental) grounds will not be enough when the going gets tough. Most Italians crumble at the first sign of adversity, or just find their level at one point. To me, Vianello will end like that.

I'll be the first to eat humble pie if I'm wrong at the end, no problem with that. I'm honest enough to tell when I have talked bullshėt. Only time will tell...

It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong,Vianello is one of the better talents out there who just started and isn't even Top Ranks best prospect with 4 fights ...its...SONNY CONTO who is my number 2 prospect and happens to be Italian ,but what do I know he might as well quit ,hes ITALIAN ?

Man, I mean Italians raised in Italy, not those from the US, who are Italians only in blood and name but grew up in toughness.

And, if you read my previous posts, I'm especially referring to the generations of the last 30 years or so. People such as Vincenzo Nardiello, Patrizio Oliva, Gianfranco Rosi, Francesco Damiani. And many more who I could list, but it would be endless.

Many of those above did reach some semi-important result one way or another, but whenever they faced real top contenders they inevitably lost, often badly. Most of them were connected with different kinds of mobs, etc. Ever wondered why getting a points win in Italy was impossible in the 80s/90s? Ask Glen Johnson after dominating Silvio Branco and having the judges against him at the end.

The "Italian Italians" are, for the most part, pampered or well-connected. It's that simple. I believe that Vianello will be knocked out sooner than you think. But - again - I'll be here to get stick if he wins big sometimes.
