Since Bob can't make Loma a franchise champ the plan is to duck Haney

Bob told Eddie & Haney to their face Haney isn't fighting Loma because he signed with the wrong promotional company. So now he moves back down to clout chase Tank because he knows Tank is a star and that's his only option for a PPV fight.

Here is Arum justifying Canelo as franchise champ by saying he's big enough he shouldn't have to fight mandatories. Then he goes on to say Loma isn't big enough yet but once he beats Campbell and Commey he should be named franchise champ so he doesn't have to fight his WBC mandatory. Which will be Haney.



What part don't y'all understand about Arum doesn't want Loma to fight Haney? He's said it loud and clear!

I don't doubt Loma will be jumping between 130 and 135, but not to duck anyone. I believe he always mentioned the plan being to be a belt holder at both divisions like Floyd was at 147 and 154


plus, Haney isn't the mandatory yet. When he is, you know that Bob will outmaneuver Hearn again. Hearn is allergic to winning purse bids or getting Loma on DAZN

He wanted to fight for the WBC belt. He knows Haney will be his mandatory. But he'll unify with Lopez/Commey winner then dip out on Haney, his mandatory.

This is why Bob supported the franchise designation. He doesn't want Loma facing Haney. He specifically mentioned Loma as a person who deserves the franchise title. It's clear as day what the plan is. The plan doesn't involve Haney as Bob has already said.
