Whatever Manny Pacquiao does, Bob Arum just hopes he avoids Errol Spence Jr. A Pacquiao-Spence fight would become a realistic possibility if Spence defeats Shawn Porter in their welterweight title unification fight September 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Pacquiao is fresh off a split-decision defeat of previously unbeaten WBA welterweight champ Keith Thurman on July 20 in Las Vegas, but Pacquiao's former promoter feels Spence is just too big, too strong, too young and too good for the 40-year-old Filipino legend.

I want Pac fight Spence so he would be stopped to be the president.

Manny has called Spence out, says how he will beat him then wants nothing to do with him, even left him of his public poll on who should he fight next, wtf is that straight after you call him out.

Manny WILL NOT fight Spence bet your life on it,,,,,,,unless Spence looks like dogsht against Porter, if Spence stops Porter Manny will not go near him engrave that in stone.

Anybody that knows boxing knows Spence will destroy Manny nobody wants to see Manny get ship wrecked.

I'm no fan of pac man, but he definitely doesn't need bob arum's sympathy. He took Thurman's best, and never complained. He still beats a lot of top welterweights. That's just the truth

I'm hoping that Spence vs. Porter fight will be a brutal war from Round 1 to 12 . Then PAC will fight the winner on January 2020 for the unified 3 WW belts.

Pac turned back the clock & took out Thurman, which was a great cherry on top for the 40 yrd old ATG. Never rated Thurman as anything special & expected the Pacquiao W, but you gotta give him immense credit for that performance. For Pac's sake, I dont really wanna see Spence or Bud against Manny. Woulda been a compelling fight back in the day but forget it--Sean Gibbons has made it a point to throw water on those particular matchups at every turn, it's not gonna happen. Fine by me, I'm hoping the alternative dry up for both sides and we somehow get Crawford/Spence next year. For as much as people like to pump up the WW division, I think it's really just Bud/Spence + a distant pack not remotely on the same level.
