"proper grown up conversation" =shorthand for "your training system stinks, ditch it or find another promoter"

I wonder why Eddie Hearn doesn't hammer on Yarde the way Warren pisses on AJ. Isn't Eddie the bad guy or is that just BS...hmmmm?

Yarde needs to get rid of his trainer and Frank asap if he is ever going to win a world title, Tunde was clueless in the corner vs Kovalev and Warren cant build fighters the right way.

          Warren:
"SPARRING and you can keep your trainer, kid. No sparring? Then your trainer is history, OR I'm no longer involved with you" This is what needs to be said in the meeting.

And BTW, it looked to me like Kovalev was riding the storm out well in the 8th. Never went down... and came back strong in 9 thru 11. Certainly didn't look like he was demolished that ONE round. AND BTW, Yarde won that and maybe one or two other rounds... and that was IT. Kovalev systematically demolished the kid, round by round.

And lastly, I don't know why so many are almost automatically saying Yarde did well. He had a ridiculous training camp with a lame trainer, and his gameplan in the fight was amateurish at best. Plus his speed wasn't better than Sergey's. His results were nothing special outside of lasting a bit longer than most Kovalev opponents have. The kid definitely has some work cut out for him if he wants to rebuild properly.

I only gave yarde round 7 and 8. Say what you want but round 8 he almost had him, yarde was maybe 1 or 2 clean shots away from pulling of the stoppage. Kovs conditioning was on point, yarde punched himself out and simply did not recover... kov did recover.. got back to boxing rwn 9 and start putting a 2 fisted beat down on yarde.

Its ironic that the same ppl who say Fury dominated Wilder are the ones who hate on certain fighters wins despite countless ppl choosing Yarde to win & it being a pickem fight,or the fact that kov dominated a young lion who was undefeated with basically all kos.

                This.was.certainly. ... a WASTED opportunity.

How a 26 yo man can get gassed BEFORE his 37 yo who has more wear and tear on his body is beyond me.

Both trainer and pupil seem delusional pre fight.

The grown up talk should have happened in preparation for the fight NOT after.

                silliness all around.

                    Things Tunde might say:

                    - No more running. You get tired when you run.
                    - No more going to the bathroom 3 hours before the fight. Wanting to pee will make you more aggressive so you could go to the bathroom quicker after the fight.
                    - No more throwing jabs. Oh, sorry, you already do that.
                    - No more advice for you in the corner. Oh, sorry, we already there.

But the most important thing Tunde can say to his disciple: "Lions in the camp!". He just forgeot, perhaps, that it is being a lion in the ring that matters.

P.S. In all seriousness, everyone either talks how well Yarde did or focus on his trainer. Nobody seems to be talking that Kova still got it despite the 8th round.

How? When has sparring ever been used to build late fight stamina?

Yarde was missing experience; his skills are his skills, but that "knowing when to try something else" bit is what he needed.

You don't get that in sparring; you get that in being in better and better fights.
