Before you start another one of your daily threads saying nobody but Canelo has ever done this look up Henry Armstrong and educate your self. Henry Armstrong won the world featherweight title and then won the world welterweight title and then won the world lightweight title and he did it all in 10 months. This was in the days of one champion per weight class so he couldn't cherry pick the weakest of many champs. Going from featherweight to welterweight is jumping up 4 of today's close together weight classes.
Will Canelo be the first fighter ever to jump up 2 divisions TWICE ?

I would say no it is a amazing feat but Armstrong did it fighting from 135 in February to 160 in November in the same year
Sam Langford also went from fighting Jack Black Burn at either 147 or 160 to fighting Joe Jennette the sam year at heavyweight which is cruiserweight by today's standards but still extremely amazing!
yea even my boys Carpentier and Fitzsimmons both started below 160, but fought professionally from 160 to heavyweight
Carpentier was a badass... so was Fitzy
Sam Langford is a legend... him and Armstrong were outright killersComment

Why couldn't GGG at least attempt this ?!?!?
Silly question
Why leave a div that was ripe for owning

The funny part is, he's jumping around, back and forth, because holding down a weight class means he must fight everyone in it.
Naoya Inoue should be above him p4p. Whether it's sizing out welterweights at 154 or juicing up at 160, he doesn't "dominate" competition. Little Floyd white washed him, Trout was close, Lara too, went the distance with an old, shop worn light welterweight Cotto, went the distance against very mediocre JCC Jr, lost to GGG and a draw in the rematch (Golovkin shot; unable to pull the trigger), crumples a nobody in Fielding who only had 11 12rnd fights and lastly slipped and slided to a safe UD against JacobsComment
