Will Canelo be the first fighter ever to jump up 2 divisions TWICE ?

    1. He fought Liam Smith at Light middleweight then Chavez at Super Middleweight.

    2. Jacobs at Middleweight then possibly Kovalev at Light heavyweight.

    Godnelo is making history

Yeah but only if he’s planning to fight Chavez at 168 this time and fights Kovalev at not an ounce below 175...until then NOPE.

          nope, not even close

also, Chavez was not a champion

back in the day, when a fighter moved up 1 division... it was the same weight jump as 2 divisions today

          Armstrong did it 4x

Is Chavez jr at catchweight considered super middleweight?

I'm pretty sure Manny did it too or some version of it at one point.

And like somebody said, Henry Armstrong was running everything from 126-147

I would say no it is a amazing feat but Armstrong did it fighting from 135 in February to 160 in November in the same year

Sam Langford also went from fighting Jack Black Burn at either 147 or 160 to fighting Joe Jennette the sam year at heavyweight which is cruiserweight by today's standards but still extremely amazing!
