if thats the case then is hard to argue, it just simply doesnt make financial sense then... but those fighters shouldnt be asking for much if they cant generate much on their own, but i guess thats boxing nowadays...

Varcacel from the WBO literally uses no mandated testing as a marketing tool by saying they don't wanna step on toes by mandating a cbp.(granted the wbc cbp is mediocre at best, but far better than wbo no program)
Sorry to piss on your parade (not really), but BJS offered to fight Smith for a 50/50 purse split when he was with Frank Warren. It was Smith who turned that offer down.

Frank Warren tried to make the fight on BT last month, when BJS was still with him. Smith turned down a 50/50 split offer because he and his manager didn't think the money was good enough.

Well Smith should've gotten 60% considering BJS is the one trying to make a comeback,& Smith has a much more valuable belt than that pos gifted wbo trinket

Don't be surprised if Callum Smith signs with Al Haymon/Fox & Showtime or Bob Arum/ESPN. Smith might want some American exposure with access to the WBC and IBF Super MW Titles. Al Haymon definitely enhanced James Degale's profile in the World, and Chunky is not the same Calliber as Callum Smith.

I wouldn't be too mad at them having one interim fight each if we were to definitely get the fight between the 2 after that. It is a fight I want to see.

Hearn was talking about Anfield again the other day. So, that's a carrot he can dangle in regards to Smith.

You get the impression that Smith is getting impatient. Gallagher has always talked about Canelo, GGG and Kovalev, but I don't see Smith being on their radar.

If he was to go elsewhere...Plant, Benevidez and Ramirez?
All nice fights, but BJS does seem the most lucrative.
