  • Do you want to see Canelo Fight Kovalev?

I mean ill probobly watch it, but it doesnt excite me at all, you cant win a decision agaisnt Canelo, and he has a great chin so a stoppage is unlikely, especially as Kovalev is not sitting down on his shots anymore, so whats the point in tuning in to watch whether Canelo gets a TKO or a Decision win?

No, I don't want to see it. I think it's a ****** gimmicky fight that does nothing for the sport of boxing.

Well i don't remember anyone really caring about him fighting fielding which was much more of a cherry pick for a paper title at a weight much more closer to his(canelo) current fighting weight. That was a much ****ter easier gimme fight. If he fights kovalev at 175 with no rehydration clauses and daft **** then that's a much better daring to be great move against a legit lhw champion and kovalev has a pretty good resume if you look at it objectively, chilemba, cleverley , Hopkins, Pascal, ward, yarde, caparello, campillo, Alvarez. This is a much more interesting and challenging fight for canelo than fielding or anyone at middleweight other than maybe GGG 3/On form BJS. Kovalev might just be too big and too strong like froch for GGG, he's still pretty sharp, yarde is fast and young and got outboxed convincingly. Canelos weight advantage he was accused of having when boiling down for 154 and 147 will be long forgotten , the guys going through the divisions like pacquiao. Yes it would be an easier champion st lhw but canelo has no business at lhw anyway he's currently a mw. Look at brook when he went up two divisions. Give canelo his credit. It's becoming like mayweather with Canelo where even though he's doing great things people have become to hyper crtitisizs and have unrealistic expectations due to his popularity and talent. He fought GGG twice and people still talk **** about him needing to fight GGG again. And canelo can move up to smw soon and then worry about him.fighting the best there but he fought the best at 154 and at 160 I'm sure he'll do the same at 168. And a title win at 175 vs kovalev would be a great achievement.

I actually think with no BS catch weights, clauses etc that Kovalev can win.

Sure, as long as he doesn't try to handicap Kovalev I'd like to see it.

Saying this is bad for boxing is dumb... This could be promoted very well because the disparity in weight classes... Especially for anyone outside looking in. The only way this could hurt boxing is Kovalev takes an obvious dive.. But if we are honest with ourselves, if Canelo does win fairly, GGG fans will still spend two years making YouTube conspiracy videos that Kovalev dove.

but mate, canelo is clearly smaller than kova,

he will have a high output from early on unlike jacobs

              i see kova winning

Absolutely I want to see Golovkin and Canelo finish what they started. HOWEVER, Canelo/Kovalev with no weight nonsense is impossible not to like. Make it happen!!
