That's NOT the fight that I saw. I saw Ole' Fishnets dominate the first half of the fight. However, the second half was ALL Trinidad...

The Vargas fight was great, don't hate & the de la hoya fight should of been a draw. Winky did jab the shet out of Tito & B-Hop is B-Hop....a living legend.
Your right the Vargas fight was amazing. And lately I heard from my son's grandmother how bad a person Vargas was. She taught high school in Vargas' home town. She told me how he used to beat up his fiance when she was in high school. She knows nothing about boxing but was estatic when I showed her the Oscar KO and the ball shots by Tito.
Just buggin but most of what I said is fact except for the wraps. IMO the wrapping helped. I was a fan of his fights, didn't dislike him but not a major fan.

not past his prime. Out of his element. He went up two weight classes to fight those guys. He lost to those guys at 160. He killed it 147-154. Trinidad was so hard core he fought Roy Jones at like 170! No weight draining opponents. name a boxer that went all out like that.

well how he did Joppy, it was it seemed like he needed more of a challenge. But yea 160 was too much for him. he should have stayed at 154 for a while before moving up further. but Trinidad craved all the big name guys and was after the glory.

This article made me rewatch Trinidad-Campas. Knowing how hard both fighters hit and how often they landed clean on each other is painful to watch. Good thing it was a short fight. I can't believe Campas never went down. The chin he displayed was otherworldly. Hearing the gloves landing on the skull of each fighter over and over was brutal.

Trinidad looked vicious as f**k against Campas and Joppy. The way he applied a nonstop vicious attack with hooks is crazy. They were fast too.

I miss fighters like him who had an IDGAF attitude and stepped up to all challengers with zero fear. I mean *****, Campas had a record like 55 and 0 with 52 KOs when Trinidad fought him and Trinidad was only 23 years old, rofl. Where the hell did those type fighters go?

I am glad that you enjoyed our island. Harry Hauck also trained me in Scuba and I always liked his real stories and experience. You said it better, our boricuan ladies like men's in uniform.
