Realistically could Mayweather have mixed it up at 160?

The Mayweather that fought canelo was strong/sharp cw or not he manhandled canelo which hasn't happened again to this day...

If canelo and cotto dominated that division so could Floyd... I personally feel Floyd preferred lmw around the time of canelo, he just couldn't consistently face fighters cutting from 190, after Floyd moved back down, he appeared soft, the maidana wars happened, scale games, dehydration and ivs....All in all I believe Floyd would've been fine at mw as the evidence point to him cutting weight to hang at welter

He could beat some good middleweights but not the best ones. GGG would have destroyed him at any time. He had no power to hurt GGG and GGG would walk through him. The Canelo who fought GGG would also knock him out. He is just an average sized welterweight and could never beat outstanding middleweights like Canelo and GGG. No welterweight could do that. I can't prove this so it's just my opinion but I am sure of it. Look how much trouble Maidana gave him. Then consider that Canelo and GGG were so much bigger, stronger, harder hitting and more skillful than Maidana. He might have a chance to beat a guy like Saunders who is not a big puncher but I would pick Saunders to win because he is 13 pounds bigger and Mayweather couldn't hurt him either. Lara would probably have been a hard fight for him at 154 but he would probably beat Lara.

cotto didnt dominate nothing past welter, he lost to trout at 154, and beat an aged sergio who hardly trained due to bad knee's.

Floyd sparred middleweights but he wasnt a risk taker. His zero meant too much.

Cotto never dominated the middleweights. He caught Martinez at the perfect time when his legs were gone and the fight was at a catchweight of 159, Then Cotto went on a year vacation. Then he fought Geale at a catchweight of 157 after Geale had already been KOed by GGG in a few rounds. Cotto flat refused to fight GGGG who was considered the true champ at 160. Finally Cotto lost his pretend middleweight title to Canelo at another catchweight of 155. You can call that dominating the middleweights if you want but I sure don't. Cotto never once fought at the full 160 pound limit, He had one successful defense against washed up Geale at a catchweight of 157. Domination?????

Woulda, coulda, wouldn't. Basically, he didn't dare to try to be great. So it's all theoretical at this point.. In my book until you show it, it's all fictitious.

He would have beaten old shot to shiat Maravialla, and Cotto

Against the right opponent sure. Like Canelo going up and beating that bum Fielding, Floyd could cherry pick a second tier titlest and beat them 100%.

Guys like Andrade, GGG, Charlo etc are just too big and strong IMO.

Canelo at 160 may even be too much. I think Canelo has gotten better since they fought years ago.

Absolutely, he wouldn't be unbeaten or as dominant. But he would have definitely won a title and beat some solid fighters.

The size disadvantage would be quite a bit for Floyd though. He'd definitely get ko'd and/or beat down at some point by a much bigger although less talented opponent.
