Lacy's team should really be ashamed of that. They should have stopped it around round 9, when it he was just done. He took a lot of very unecessary punishment at the end of that fight.

yeh thats what i thought, no need for that **** to carry on. it was more brutal, and showed nothing. apart from how vicious calzaghe is and how dum lacy's corner is.

Just goes to show how slappy Calzaghe is.He could not finish a man who was ready to go for several rounds. He survived and showed tremendous heart and a solid chin by lasting the distance. He lost with dignity and class and will be a champion again.....

those slaps most probably did long term damage. what i mean by that is that in his next fight he wont be the same. he wont be knocking out ppl he may just barely win the fight.

yes he showed lots of heart but what is the point staying in there and taking a beating like that. the corner is too blame. we dont need another G-Man. sadly

I remember that fight and i think afterwards i made a lot of excuses for Lacy. But seeing the 12 round again it was a one sided beating handed down by Calzaghe.

And i aggree with you thinking back the fight should have been stopped.

In the same fashion but worse that Hearns was let go many more rounds with Ray Leonard in their first fight, when i could have and should have been stopped a few rounds earlier.

You don't know that. Some people react to defeat different than others. He might come back with more detirmination and focus, or he maybe a shadow of his former self. We won't know til oct/nov when he fights next.

There was no need for Lacy to be in that 12 round. Shame on there ****in corner for letting there boy take a beating like that in hostile environment. Those slapping punches by Calzaghe were doing damage.
