They are working overtime trying to convince everyone this is a cherrypick and Canelo should easily stop him

It's not a cherry pick if there is no weight restriction but it's not the best fight he can make.

Not a real GG fan but I think Canelo stops Kovalev. If you can't see why then you aren't paying attention.

Canelo is a 4 to 1 favorite to win and that's by pro odds makers not salty GGG fans. Does being a 4 to 1 favorite sound like Canelo is taking much of a risk? Just do a simple search of odds on the Kovalev vs Canelo fight. Nobody is making stuff up. If Canelo was fighting GGG or Jermall or Andrade he would not be a 4 to 1 betting favorite. There is a reason Canelo said only Kovalev, No Bivol or Beterbiev need apply.

GGG said he will fight Murata in Japan next if he beats Dervy.

Do you ever get tired of loving up on Canelo and hating on GGG and his fans? Every day it's many more threads praising Canelo and shyting on GGG. How did you score the two GGG vs Canelo fights? I really am curious since you say Canelo is a god and GGG is so worthless. I scored the first fight 8 rounds to 4 for GGG and the 2nd fight 7 rounds to 5 for GGG. I think they are both great fighters.

fighting Kovalev AT 175... is dangerous

Canelo should weight 165-168'ish... definitely no more than 170

he should be trying to win that fight as the smaller man

                  advantages... speed/defence/sharpness/body-work

                  Kovalev... height/reach/range/power

imo Kovalev should use a similar plan that they used for Hopkins

play a jab-counter game, stepping back slightly whenever Canelo looks to engage... getting the most advantage from Kovalev's strengths... while nullifying Canelo's

but that was JDJ, McGirt will probably see things differently

I see that as a difficult fight for Canelo

but not interested in that fight if it happens at catchweight

Considering canelos already kinda an average size MW, moving up to LHW and taking on anyone with a pulse i feel like is commendable. Might not be as jaw droppping as canelo groupies are making it out to be, but its a notable accomplishment .

That being said, Kovalev is being chosen for a reason. the reward outweighs the risk with him at this point, he looked absolutely finished down the stretch in that ward rematch. In the alvarez fights kovalev has looked notably less sharp and more susceptible to being hurt badly. hes clearly a fading champion, and canelo wants his scalp on his resume. thats just the reality of the situation. hes not facing the world beater that kovalev was 5-6 years ago. but kov isnt quite yet RJJ level washed up
