I couldn’t agree more. Just today I heard the same thing from a true fight fan but who doesn’t get into it enough to run any bias. The fights were close. Anyone who describes them otherwise is doing cartwheels.

Out boxed the 1st fight then got the "Mexican Style" beat out of him in the 2nd fight. There is footage of the fight & I advise you to recap the 1st fight. Nelo won both.

Hate makes me people say crazy things! Canelo is definitely a diva, but he earned that by fighting Trout, Mayweather, Lara, Cotto, and GGG...twice! He definitely earned my respect! If he really goes through with this, and he beats Kovalev, I think he's P4P#1 until proven otherwise!

I'm not defending gggs resume. You're a compete canelo apologist. You're right, ggg is good not great. But what does that say about Canelo that he can't convincingly beat a 35/36 yr old good fighter when he was only 27/28 yrs old.

Trout (beat Cotto) was more than OK when Canelo beat him! Lara and GGG were close fights, but Canelo fought Lara and GGG X 2, so he gets props for that! Cotto only went up 1lb. for Canelo, and he was faded, but still levels above Curtis Stevens, Dominic Wade, Daniel Geale, and Vanes Martirosyan! What separates Canelo from other top guys, is he fights other top guys!
