If THURMAN isn't willing to do what's necessary to get back to the top. Then there's really nothing left for him to "Offer"

He was already reluctant to face Spence an Crawford as it is. So if he plans on going back to feasting off of C level fighters with no Spence Crawford or rematches w Danny or Porter in the near future he might as well hang em up.

32 is still prime in this era, especially if u haven't taken much punishment so he's still got another year or 2.

Btw Spence is 29 years old.
Except your not a fighter. No offense, but there's a difference. I'm sure you can knock back a twelve-pack and a tray of nachos just as well as when you were in your mid-20's, but its not quite the same thing as elite prize fighting. Crawford is still an elite fighter, but its not unreasonable to assume that he is a half notch below what he was at 28 (at least physically).

I get that. That's why I brought up the subject of punishment. Crawford never been in no real wars. Now everyone is different. Some guys will be done in their 30s others will seem like their still at the peak like Pacquiao when he was that age regardless of the wars. There's been no evidence to prove that Crawford is slowing down just yet.

Make no mistake though my job puts wear and tear on the body involving lots of heavy lifting for hours and endurance so while I'm not a boxer I do have a way of gauging my prime in my early 30s

You got a lot of these early 30 guys beating the younger fighters anyway

I really would love to see Garcia vs. Garcia! I don't know why it's not happening? That being said, Pacquiao vs. Danny Garcia, coming off a KO win vs. Granados, is better than Pacquiao vs. Mikey Garcia, coming off an embarrassing loss to Errol Spence! Best case scenario would be for them (Danny & Mikey) to fight now, and winner gets Pacquiao in early 2020!

Also who is really young at 147?

              Pac 40
              Spence 29
              Crawford 31
              Porter 31
              D Garcia 31
              Thuman 30
              M Garcia 31
              Ugas 33
              Vargas 30
              Khan 32

Everybody at the top is around the same age range except for maybe Jaron Ennis Boots whos now seemed to have moved up

Fair points. I don't know if we're comparing Bud to the rest of the WW elite or against his former self though. If they fight this year, I would confidently pick TC to beat everybody on your list, including Spence, but if he continues to allow his career to languish and doesn't fight anyone real for another year or two, then bets are totally off. In another year or two Vergil Ortiz is going to be terrorizing the upper echelons of the WW division. I'm not nearly as confident that a mid-30's version of TC is going to be a smart pick by then.

Well then we can agree on that which is why I said Bud has another year MAYBE 2 of his prime but at 32 I just don't think he's past it just yet because he hasn't been in any real wars yet in his boxing career, closest he came to it was the Gamboa fight but Gamboa was a 130 pounder.

That said I wouldn't advise him to wait much longer to secure 1 of these big fights either but I guess it's out of his hands like it was out of GGG's hands when he wanted to face Canelo in his early 30s.

As for Ortiz, I'm just not seeing it yet. He's not polished enough to be considered a top guy at 147 at the moment. Hes big and strong for 147 and throws a lot of punches but also got clipped with a lot of shots in his last fight by a dude that just couldn't hurt him. Won't be the same when he's hit by the top guys like that, but at least he knows and acknowledges that he's not ready for the big league just yet.
