Watched the fight finally today after all the noise about what Yardee did to Kov and I simply saw a fight that was dominated from start to finish by Kovalev with steady peppering of jabs and right hands. Yardee had one good round, round 8 which he couldn't have knocked out Kov cos he was already spent and Kov had an equally dominant round 10. Yarde gave a good account of himself but it really was a Kov domination.

Pascal is a champion. Gatekeepers are not champions dummy. And Pascal probably brutally knocks out Yardee late when his stamina fails him but will a good fight till that point. Pascal got a heavy right, a solid chin and good stamina

I did not expect him to do that well so I give him props...went on the road, fought well, and took his shot in the 8th and was a punch or three from getting the win...if that happens the whole narrative about him is different.

Was it too soon? Maybe, but just, it at all...does he need a new trainer? Maybe, but if he had a few more punches in the 8th round, his trainer is probably being talked about a lot differently.

Does he know now what he needs to work on? yes, and the stamina is the main thing imo...if he doesn't solve that he will never beat the top guys consistently, if at all.

Point taken ,I also picked Breazeale though most want to ignore he had Wilder slightly stumbled with the first punch. My point however is with Fury a style he will lose to.
