Canelo will lose to Kovalov and I'm a Canelo fan. Canelo had enough problems with GGG's jab and Kovalov is MUCH bigger and his jab won't be off the back foot.

This going to end like Garcia / Spence. Kova lov has the height, reach, weight advantages.

Kovalev jammed the jab down the middle throughout the fight and Yarde was never really able to adjust to it and find a way to get away from it. Trainer Buddy McGirt reminded Kovalev to use the jab and land it anywhere he could -- the head, the body, the arms, just keep firing it.

"Kovalev's jab often lands like a power shot and, in fact, a heavy left jab turned out to be the knockout punch."

100% agree!Canelo is going to have to constantly get hit by it to land his punches.

Canelo for what it’s worth has my respects, if he really faces Kovalev at 175 and doesn’t drain him, it’s an another feather in his cap and adds to an already great resume. It’s pretty weird cause Canelo doesn’t seem pound for pound the number one guy but how do you argue with his resume. Though, even after the Yarde/Kovalev fight, I still think it’s a 50/50 fight because while Canelo has great upper body movement, his footwork and positioning sometimes lets him down and so he’s going to get jabbed heck of alot. But I think Canelo has better chance of getting a knockout due to Kovalev being vulnerable to the body and not having great conditioning. His chin has been cracked a few times now and it doesn’t really bode too well for him. A true 50:50 imo

Well he went 11 and he's got to be the biggest best 8 Rd fighter @LH then. He was hungry in shape and focused, I din't think he was ready for a title shot but he got it. Kovalov din't have a choice, now he does. Kovalov is getting up there but he'll be up for Canelo and used to fighting 15 lbs heavier if it's @ 175. 8lbs heavier than Canelo ever fought and against Rocky feilding ,lamb. Golden boy better start getting some more of that Mexican
stake meat asap, gonna need it, kov a ligit 175lber like it or not

Any other fighter at 160lb that can challenge Kovalev?

No.. props to Canelo but I think Kovalev will edge the win. But I'll repeat. No one else at 160lb would dare to make the fight and no one else at 160lb would have a chance. That tells you a lot of where Canelo is now as a fighter

Kovalev will throw punches to the air all night. Because he is old&slow. clen has better defence and he is faster. clen by UD.

Why does clen fight only old guys?

And it is not similar to Garcia vs Spence. Garcia fought prime Spence.

But clen is going to fight an old man.. who was knocked out by another Alvarez...

Why doesn't he fight Andrade or Bivol or Smith or Saunders?

Beterbiev likely decapitates Yarde in 5 rounds. Kovalev was very cautious with Yarde until he started to gas. Beterbiev would have gone for the kill right away.
