Just asking a few honest questions to the boxing fans? How does the fight with Canelo enhance the legacy of Sergio more than beating the younger champions Bivol or Oleksandr Gvozdyk or Artur Beterbievn? If Sergio manages to beat Canelo, will the narrative be he was supposed to beat a naturally, but extremely talented smaller fighter? If he loses, will people say he couldn’t beat a smaller fighter and he should retire? If Sergio unifies the division by beating the natural, talented, and younger light heavyweights, would it cement his HOF status much more than a win against Canelo? I get the money part of it, and Sergio deserves a big money fight towards the late stages of his career. I’m just trying to figure out if unifying is better for him. And I understand that there are no guarantees that he would even beat any of the 3 light hw’s. So I guess grabbing the big money fight now is better.

Im not overly sure about ramirez he's seems quite basic from what I've seen and canelo would not have many issues with him other then getting past his reach. How you rate him?Comment

This would actually be his last chance at grabbing that kind of money
Biggest fight available to him monetary wise
Take it or leave it , he is at the end of his careerComment

Canelo is a vicious body puncher and what we know of Kov is that he cannot take a good body shot. Yes Kov is a good boxer and yes he has power but it’s proven Canelo can take a shot and has a granite chin. If he can walk through his punches Kov is done by a steady assault to his soft body.Canelo would be a fool to fight Kov without any advantages besides refs or judges going in!
I know his defense is A level but how will he keep Kovalev honest unless Canelo is able to avoid jabs for 12 rounds?
I get it Canelo prolly will have the speed advantage and better defense but Kov can box and punch at the same time I say that’s a deadly combo for Alvarez who struggles with boxers!
I would insatiably pick Kovalev by late KO!
People nuts thinking this is a cherry pick for Canelo!
Even a past prime Kovalev is much better than the likes of Andrade, GGG, Charlo or the guys at 168!
Bold move from Canelo really unnecessary with his resume and status but I don’t see this going well unless his team tells him to get a rehydration clause in!
Sorry not sorryComment

Yep, Duva is shady unlike Bob Arum, Lou DiBella, Eddie Hearn and Oscar who are pillars of righteousness. All kidding aside, I think that double-dealing and "speaking with a forked tongue" is part of the boxing promoters job description.Comment

Of all the champs at 175, Kov is the weakest link..power and all.
Kov at the tender age of 37 is now a spent force.
Yes he still has the POWER, but his punch resistance is no longer what it used to be.
Oh and he cannot fight inside to save his life and does not react well to even a grazing punch to his body.
If the opportunity presents itself , take the CANELO windfall and retire!!!
I'll put my money on Canelo to stop him at this stage in his career. And Canelo will not get credit for it.
The only way he beats Canelo is to have a clause in the contract to not dig to the BODY!!Comment

I don't think that a rehydration clause is necessary. Kovalev does not appear to pack on the lbs after the weigh-in. He walks around lean and fights lean.If Kova-Canelo fight will happen I think it would be a 10 lbs rehydration limit clause and the fight may be at a cw of 170 or 172 lbs. Something like that. They would probably try to weak Kova as much as they can to basically fight a zombie.
I'd be very surprised if this fight gets made at the weight of 175 lbs with no rehydration limit clause.Comment

Ok ok
She just rubs me the wrong fughin way
She seems very transparent and predictable
She was one of the main reasons Kovi vs Stevenson never got made
Crying wolf after she pulled out of the purse bid which she pushed for
Without doubt , not saying the other promoters are anything to brag about but she makes me as sick as big Eddie doesComment
