this is why this fight is so interesting.

As we have seen, Canelo does not really have the knockdown power as he keeps moving up in weight... and well... Fielding does not count. He could not KO GGG or Jacobs.

Now he would be facing Kovalev, a guy used to taking much harder shots.

Canelo has speed and strong boxing IQ and WILL go to the body.

Kovalev has the height, reach, weight and power.

Canelo has also been gassing in his past fights so it will be a race there...

If Kovalev can keep the midget at the end of the jab... Canelo will have to put himself in danger to get in.

If Canelo can get in and work Kovalev like a punching bag... Canelo has a really strong chance at a stoppage.

I think for this fight, God willing it gets made... we will see the BEST Kovalev and the BEST Canelo.

I disagree. Watch the Canelo fights. There was nothing on those jabs he landed, when he tried to load up he missed. The jab didn't bother Canelo. Sure it looks great against C level fighters.

Idk man I usually see the neck snap back from the jab in most of G's and Kov's fights...didn't see it a ton today from Kov but harder to load up against Yarde.

I can personally remember multiple times in each fight where G's jab snapped Canelo's head back...which with that strong neck of his is no small feat.

I would just have thought even the most ardent G hater would acknowledge he has a great jab...but I was mistaken I suppose lol.

Canelo didn't even bother defending the jab that's how ineffective it was. Golovkin couldn't land the power jab he does against C level fighters on Canelo. He had to take everything off it. It's overrated.

Kovalev, if he’s even a little dehydrated, is going to have problems going 12. Probably it would be tough keeping pace with Canelo anyway but I think dehydrated he’s sunk, that is unless he can hurt Canelo early on.

think you need recheck all of canelo's fights that went the distance. he's usually gassed out after 6 or 7 rounds. GGG was the one coming on strong in the late rounds during both fights.
