Canelo is licking his chops. It's because it's Mexican meat. He can lick it, but if he actually eats it, he'll turn up positive for clenbuterol.

Pipe down...... Canelo lacks devastating power against elite opposition at 154 and 160. Don't see how he Ko's Kovalev at 175 lbs.

Who is comparing their achievements here mate. He would still beat on Kovalev the same way he did Kirkland.

Sorry but Kovalev is not the Kovalev that I use to watch, know etc This version is war torn, older and on the way out. Canelo would have a field day with him. The only goodness I see would be the payday he would get, I really can’t bear to watch Canelo/Kovalev, in my heart I just see Canelo beating him up.

You don watch much boxing do you.

Canelo is a faster and a lot more accurate than Yarde.

He is smaller but he’s a sniper where he hits he lands and the shot Kova won’t see are the ones that will hurt him.

I'm not comparing achievements as far as belts won or whatever, i'm saying Kovalev is streets ahead of Kirkland as a fighter in every comparable attribute. Add on to that Kovalev is a light heavyweight, not a junior middleweight who got Ko'd in 1 rd by Ishida.

I don't understand how you can be so confident Canelo blasts Kovalev out in 3 rounds like he did to Kirkland, what am i missing here?

This version of Kovalev? Sorry but if we are talking prime Kovalev then I would agree with you. You have to understand that a name isn’t always a name on a resume.

Yeah I agree Kovalev is past his best but I think that would hurt his chances a lot more against the elite natural light heavyweight killers in Bivol, Beterbiev and Gvodzyk.... those fights would be difficult at his best let alone now.

With Canelo i've always praised his skillset as a fighter but his power has always been overrated at 154 and 160. Also, with his lack of height and reach I think he will struggle to get inside on Kovalev.

We’ll see how a LHW Canelo is. I pick Kova to win.

Kirkland was a mediocre fighter and not even a top contender while Kovalev is a proven champion about ten levels above Kirkland. Canelo is a wicked body puncher but lots of guys go 12 rounds with him without being knocked down. Kirkland was a 155 pound boxer while Kovalev is a 175 pound champion with a jab and right hand power Canelo has never experienced. This isn't some Kirkland type beatdown. Canelo has a very dangerous fight. Kovalev has never gone down from a body punch in a long career of fighting the best 175 pound fighters. He isn't going to crumple every time Canelo hits his body like Fielding.
