Where is REDEEMER who said that Yarde should have been the favorite going into the fight despite having fought no one!!
The Brits are on suicide watch

I really don't want to be having these type of discussions on here, moreso because some of my fav boxers happen to be American and i'm also now a 'fanboy' of Eddie's US venture and I esp like the fact he's signed up very likeable american boxers like Haney, Sims jr, Andrade.
Now, the US has a population of over 320m. UK has a population of 66m. That's nearly 5x our population.
Yet you have 18 world champions and we have 6.
If anything, lol i can't believe i'm actually typing this **** but statistically that makes Brits better boxers than the Americans.
Also there are different belt holders in the same division and soon we'll see unification fights eg Porter vs Spence, so there'll be less down the line.
Then you have the fact that a few of these belt holders identify with Mexico more than the US eg Ruiz, Ramirez, Daniel Roman. These guys are really mexican.
Whether Ruiz and Wilder remain champions remains to be seen but I prefer to have Anthony Joshua, Whyte, Tyson Fury, Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce etc to wilder, Ruiz, Bryant and Miller.
The irony is, like I said i'm a 'fanboy' of Eddie's US venture. So for example if it's BJS vs Andrade, i'm going to be supporting Andrade. If Sims jr boxed someone like Eubank jr or Yarde one day, i'd be supporting Sims jr.
The boxing landscape has clearly changed now. For example if you're an Eddie Hearn hater than you may aswell support Frank Warren's stable.
Lastly, despite Eddie's appeasement of US media...boxing is still only the 7th to 10th most popular sport in the UK. The boxing 'world' over here is still niche, it's not as mainstream as people like to think it is. We have a lot of other sports eg Football/soccer is 10x bigger than any single US sport (because it isnt just the epl we watch, we're consumed with continental league football, the champions league, internationals and multiple leagues/cups in England). Rugby league, rugby union. Cricket inc t20 format now..and England just hosted and won the world cup in the best cricket match of all time, so it's popularity has grown in the last couple of months. F1, snooner, darts, horse racing, tennis are all more popular than boxing over there. It might sound bizzarre eg darts as a sport, but they are more mainstream than boxing because they're on free to air tv and watched/participated in more than boxing.Comment

UK is doing just fine all things considered. 15 titles between America and the next championship nation Mexico. Anyone having a run at the champ has their work cut out for them, outside of America the UK is in a tight race.Comment

Mexico has 8 belt holders and then you've got a few Mexican yanks. Population 130m. Mexican's probably have more boxing heritage in terms of their lifestyle/upbringing than brits too. They grow up in the sport too.
So considering all that, brits aren't doing bad at all with 8 champions and that's after all these Ls too.Comment

You can add to the USA haul if you count primary residences. Lot of top fighters from other countries migrate here. Yet you don’t see US champs living in the Ukraine, for instance.I was thinking is was time for one of these. Let's see where the UK stacks up in the world at the present moment.
