    Yarde really impressed me

He went all the way to Kovalev's backyard in his hometown and put on a show. He should've done the job in the 9th rd but ended up gassing out.

A novice vs the best LW in the last 10 years in his backyard. That's enough heart. Heart of a warrior and a lion.

Big up yourself, man like Anthony Yarde.

Lions in the camp! The beast from the east.

I haven't seen the fight, but a lot of people are saying Yarde gave a good account of himself. Luckily he's still young enough to bounce back, but now he's just gotta start getting fights to advance him.

I do have a question though was a legit knockout or a more exhausted nothing in the tank knockout? Seems like his chin held up good to make it so long.

A little bit of both. Kovalev's jab is real stiff and hard, but Yarde was COMPLETELY exhausted at that point and had nothing left. Just a minute earlier, Kovalev shoved him in the clinch and Yarde went down easily. Sign of a man with nothing left.

He is not active at all and doesn't have stamina. Chin is good.

He has got a lot to work on as Kov was probably the easiest pickings at light heavy these days.

I talk a lot of trash about UK fighters, but Yarde even with this loss has my respect like Honeyghan did back in the day. Respect to Kovalev as well. After getting ko'd by Ward and then Alvarez he really showed heart. I respect it

I don't think 'he should be proud', I think he should have gradually moved up the ladder by boxing a better caliber of fighters long ago other than the elite eg Kovalev. He was badly advised.

Reminds me of the Benn Watson fight, but Yarde can definitely rebound, thank you for that reply bro.

Yeah, unfortunately, this is the truth no-one wants to admit. I can't wait to hear what Tunde has to say. Close is not enough. He's gone off the deep end, what did they expect?

I hope it doesn't damage Yarde's psyche too much

You are right. He didn't go for broke because he couldn't because he wasn't defending himself that well.

                    He can improve for sure.
