He could definitely improve his cardio a little bit but if he went to the body earlier and fought in spurts early on then he might have caught Kovalev big earlier and had the stamina and explosiveness to finish the job.
The How to Beat Kovalev Book is written & even civilians know it, but for some reason Tunde didn't. He was way to c#cky going into that fight. I read something were he said he thought trainers deserve more acclaim for boxers wins. Well I think he should be feeling like this L is more on him than Yarde. And he should consider making some alterations to system 9 & maybe rename it system 10 or 11 cuz I think Tunde gots another year or two worth of learning & improvement to make on it.
Good fight, fun fight doe.

a few questions about that fight (if it happens) does canelo has power at 175 lbs? can he take a punch at 175 lbs? will it be at 175 lbs or some BS catchweight (or rehydratation clause). and a thing to have in mind, canelo also has stamina isues, he is just younger than kovalev.
PS, haven't see you in a long time dude. nice to see you back.

Big props to Yarde, definitely lasted longer than I’d imagined. He just needs to shave off some muscle and apparently start sparring and he could be a step below the current young champions. Kov vs canelo should be exciting, I’ve got a feeling I’ll be on the edge of my seat like this fight given the tangibles. Kovalev seems to have either lost his punch resistance over the years or his opposition is finally no longer intimidated but canelo is way too small for lhw. If Yarde could get on the inside and work the body, canelo has a chance (definitely more than I believed before this fight), especially now that kov is a bit long in the tooth. Really excited

Btw, keep in mind, Kovalev does not fight well in Russia... too much pressure, remember his last fight there vs Chilemba?
In the United States with ZERO pressure on him, he would have ended this sooner.
If Canelo wants to have the best chance of beating Kovalev... fight him in Russia... the pressure would break him down.
Vegas would be good, in Mexico... would be really hard for Canelo as Kovalev feasts on hatred.

With experience Yarde will get a lot better but the old HoF just had the skills and experience on his side.
I wouldn't say Kovalev is a shoe in for the HOF either.
