LMAO. The young lion just gassed out.

Big up to the Krusher, tho. It just shows what experience can do in boxing. He was out of there in the 9th rd. But he was able to find the second wind and came back with his jab and shots. And that was the beginning of the end of Yarde.

Yarde should've taken rds 10 and 11 off to get a breather by fouling/holding, to get a second wind in the 12th rd. And go back to what he did in the 9th rd. His inexperience at this level showed.

Championship rounds and experience - that's why we love the sport.

the same guy that couldn't stop jacobs, not even drop him once. lol

a few questions about that fight (if it happens) does canelo has power at 175 lbs? can he take a punch at 175 lbs? will it be at 175 lbs or some BS catchweight (or rehydratation clause). and a thing to have in mind, canelo also has stamina isues, he is just younger than kovalev.

PS, haven't see you in a long time dude. nice to see you back.

As much as I have always enjoyed the Krusher's wins, Yarde - who is not in Canelo's league for sure - had him almost out of there at one point.

Kovalev just can't take it to the body. Hats off to him, though, for having regained control after that round - and what a great knockout jab!

Kova looks old as hell. he`d better stay away from other champs.

            Damn right
Not so fughin hard to see that
Canelo will smell blood from the opening round and ko Kovi by the fourth or fifth round
Kovi seems to have a very soft chin , the few touches Yarde put on his face affected him big time
Fughin Buddy wanted to stop the fight

He should've gone exclusively to the body in the 8th, but he got caught up in the moment. Kov was close to getting stopped on his feet, and the reason why he didn't take a knee is because Yarde was head-hunting. He punched and clinched his way through the 8th, and a better fighter wouldn't have allowed that to happen and/or wouldn't have exhausted themselves in the process.

              • LOL kovalev should use the rock's catch phrase to add insult to injury to yarde!

                  • Props to Kovalev. With all that he has done career wise, he deserves an eight figure payday. Take the check and retire Kov!

I think the no or minimal sparring thing is fine although I'm sure 99% of mfers would disagree with me there.

Yeah I don't think lack of sparring cost him, it was definitely lack of stamina late on. He blew himself out in the 8th.

He could definitely improve his cardio a little bit but if he went to the body earlier and fought in spurts early on then he might have caught Kovalev big earlier and had the stamina and explosiveness to finish the job.
