If Kovalev keeps himself clean and out of trouble.... If Canelo gives him a shot.....

He can really rewrite those loses to Ward on his resume. Win tonight. Win a smart fight against Canelo. Then even if he wins one unification fight, what happens next is mute. Those are a lot of "if's" , but they are not crazy thoughts.

Nah nah. Krusher has been knocked down what, at least four or five times. When was the last time you saw Canelo on the canvas?
      I don't like Canelo, but...
Then we'll see what comes out of Beterbiev-Gvozdyk. If you start to think about it, when Bivol improves they might all be in trouble from 168 to 175.

I personally think Bivol is the class of 175.

Kov is past prime and boderline shot . At this stage of his career about every fight is a struggle.
I'll put my money on Canelo to stop him. Would not say the same about Canelo v Bivol.

Simply put I don't think Bivol or the Nail could outbox Alvarez like Kov did...and Beterbiev would have been a different type of fight...but as far as boxing goes Alvarez may be the 2nd best pure boxer...behind Kov...for Kov to outbox him that clearly shows how talented he is imo...much more than just a big puncher.

I would tend to agree that Kov would be too much for Canelo...however the only caveat is that I don't think Canelo and his team would want/take that fight unless they see something in Kov that they can exploit...or where at the very least they feel very confident that Canelo won't get blown out.

Canelo can fight anyone he wants...and Kov would appear to be a strange decision...seems high risk and for not much reward ...perhaps there will be weight restrictions etc on the fight for Kov.

I agree Eleider Alvarez can do it all. He has a Gold and Bronze medal. And has some very solid wins on his resume. I was looking forward to him and Hart before the injury...

I think Kovalov beats Canelo. Canelo has trouble with jabs and that height, reach, power??? He's gonna lose to Kov. And i'm a Canelo fan. He's has to overcome a 5"-6" height advantage and 2"-3" reach AND Kov. is used to getting hit buy guys that weight fightnight around 185-195. He should of had the win against Ward in the 1st fight and Canelo is NO Ward!

Mikey garcia thought he saw some weakness in Spence as well. There is a reason why there are weight classes.

I'm putting $$$$ on Kovalov. to beat Canelo.

I hear ya man...in theory I think it is a bridge too far for Nelo too...but for some reason I think he and his team have a plan to where at worst they think Nelo will go 12 rounds...and not hating on Nelo - but he is the king of boxing in a way so if he goes 12 rounds then he will have a chance.

I just look at the moves he and his team have made so far - and nothing they have done has really been a bridge too far yet...he is the AAA side in boxing and has been...he can get whatever fight he wants for the most part.

And I just don't see him taking on Kov unless they really see something...and every other time they've matched Nelo up he has at least come up and competed very well...we may disagree on the scores in the GGG fight - but he even competed well in those 2 fights, and those fights were forced on him in a way - the money was too good to pass up and the fans were really demanding it in a way.

No one is really asking him for this Kov fight, or no one was...Idk maybe he is just really feeling himself after going toe to toe with GGG in the last fight and holding his own and holding the center of the ring.

I tend to agree that Kov would be too much...as you said weight classes exist for a reason...but Nelo impresses me above expectations almost every time he fights, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was competitive with Kov...whether he beats him idk...but I wouldn't count him out from making it close.

Hell, Kovalev knows a lot more about being down.
