I tend to favour modern fighters over old school fighters but I legitimately think the Duran that fought Leonard could give Mayweather a run for his money and probably win.

I'd call it 60/40 for Duran.

I think a prime Duran at lightweight beats Mayweather, as Castillo truly did in the first fight. I would favor Floyd in a rematch, and also beating Duran at welterweight. I don't think Mayweather beats either Hearns or Leonard at welterweight, not much of a chance.

          P.b.c.

Please. Mayweather crosses up Duran's feet, frustrates him and whoops that ass. No freaking way does a come forward bully beats any version of Floyd Mayweather jr. 🥊

Floyd was troubled by Castillo. Maybe it was just a bad night for Floyd, but based on having issues with Chavez's sparring partner, I have a hard time seeing Mayweather beating guys Like JC Chavez, Duran, and Aaron Pryor....let alone the great fighters at 147. I give Floyd a shot to outpoint just about anybody, but if he came up in the 80's he may have never ventured past 135.

Floyd beat Castillo. He moved up for that fight and took on the baddest guy in the division let’s be clear. Floyd outlanded Castillo with the jab by 8% and ONLY got outlanded in power punches by 2%. Cut the ****.
Floyd picks Duran apart. Duran Had a loss prior to SRL. Floyd didn’t have any losses prior or after Castillo. Duran was a pressure fighter who loved the inside. Floyd excelled at neutralizing Pressure fighters AND fighting on the inside. In his PBF days he was a pressure fighter himself he used to always cut the ring off. He would’ve been too fast, too slick, too smart for Duran. Chavez was gifted in a few fights Floyd beats him no question he’s beaten better. Hearns was the weakest link out the four and it’s laughablr to think he’d beat Floyd. Not 07, not 09, not ‘15 Floyd. SRL would put on a good fight but Floyd has him on the inside. SRL was not as skilled as Floyd on the inside. Simply watching their respective fights should make it clear. Duran already showed how to cut the ring off on him.

Two fighters that didn't spar or barely sparred and had different styles were Calzaghe and Nigel Benn. Skillwise though I don't think Yarde is on their level. He's very flat footed.

Oba Carr was one of my favorite fighters. It's sad he never went farther in boxing.

Smoger is also one of my favorite referees however, I don't know why I've always felt he gave Pavlik the benefit of the doubt when he let him continue against Taylor. Pavlik was hurt badly and he could've stopped it. It ultimately helped Pavlik and made for a great fight.
