When you resort to name calling, it shows your lack of business knowledge and financial aptitude. It’s ok to not like or even hate Ellerbe. Who cares, Ellerbe has more money than both of us combined and Eddie Hearn too. He earned it by any means necessary, starting from the bottom and working his way up. When you are an obvious idiot what do you want me to call you? Mayweather promotions made $350m from boxing according to their own website. I don’t know how much financial analysis you know but when you do COP ratios you always adjust for bias. Mayweather is likely to overstate rather than understate revenues but let’s give him the benefit of the doubt here, let’s assume they made $350m as claimed, the other promotions brought in negligible revenues. How will a gross of $350m translate into $120m for Ellerbe? If anything you are showing complete lack of business knowledge.

I’m not taking it as gospel, the website of Mayweather promotions states Ellerbe is CEO and list all of the employees of the company. I will email them on Monday to edit his title on the website to “operations” and make Nicole Craig CEO. They will probably be fixing that soon anyway. And who is “everyone,” the people here on the boxing forum or people you personally know? Only the people in the room during negotiations know the extent to the involvement of everyone there and all parties concerned. Floyd who is the President states Ellerbe is a shrewd business man. Haymon speaks highly of him, I guess he is blowing smoke too. And I forgot, president is a glorified title for Floyd also, LOL!!!!

Check that website, have you seen how many operations guys there are? Mayweather promotions isn’t a big organisation in terms of operations and there is a small span of control. It is very reliant on Floyd Mayweather and a typical briefcase company which can be operated from Starbucks or any corner shop using a laptop and a mobile phone. Al Haymon does all the negotiations and handles contracts. Broadcasters are in charge of distribution of the product and the Finance Function is outsourced. They don’t have many debtors as their customers are very few. Their revenues are in lump sums. The truth is that Ellerbe is Mayweather’s personal assistant with a huge title. I told you this is substance over form and you can’t get it because you probably at the best just have a bachelors degree and have never been part of the strategic apex.

He's wrong in saying Eddie Hearn shouldn't have picked Ruiz.

Essentially, what he's saying is that Hearn shouldn't have picked a tricky opponent -- someone who could beat AJ. He's saying Hearn should've picked an easier opponent for the world HW champ.

Even in a rant on Hearn, he manages to hate on Hearn for making a good fight, and praise Arum for the Ramirez situation, while not be willing to do the same with his fighter.

Ellerbe is slimy. Best word I can describe him with. Eddie Hearn is very likable and wants to set up great fights. TMT is all that's wrong in boxing. Let Crawford fight Spence, let Tank fight Farmer and respect Farmer. Let Tank fight Lomachenko. The strategy of keeping Tank sheltered from other champions is egregious to true boxing fans.

After reading this article, I have a lot more respect how he got to where he is today. This is nonsense. If Floyd earned around $420m how did ELLERBE earn $120m? Boxing trainers don’t earn that much and ELLERBE is not involved in negotiations but Haymon is. Most of the advice Mayweather gets is from Haymon not Ellerbe. ELLERBE is just an operations guy and everyone knows operations is the lowest form of management. Mayweather promotions generated about $1b in Ppv sales and that has to be split with broadcasters so the $120m for ELLERBE is hogwash.
