    CANELO is 2-0 vs. GGG

After all the hype they gave GGG "the fearless ko monster" , it was embarrassing to see how CANELO turned him into the Paulie Malignaggi of the middleweight division, jabbing to keep the smaller man off of him , scared to death in survival mode.
Scared to come forward, scared to stand & trade , scared to throw a body shot , scared to throw a combination. Scared to get countered. Scared to go out on his shield in the 12th. Scared of a kill or be killed Mexican War.

he stayed in the fight because of his solid (strong) fundamentals
Well this is a decent fight. Im glad hes still at middle, hes got some good oppo down there. We dont need Canelo 3.I dont know about the late style change, but i never thought basing him on Chavez snr was the right thing. He was a decent boxer in the amateurs. He might get abit more mileage out of Banks.

I haven’t watched the rematch in a while and may need to rewatch it, but my recollection is that ggg started trying to box behind a jab and replicate the success he had with it in the first fight, but Canelo opened up, hit with some heavy shots and backed him up early on. In the mid rounds Golovkin seemed to alter his tactics and try to turn it into a fight, took more risks and hit Canelo with a couple of big right hands and started to back him up.
I’d love to see a third fight, the intrigue for me is if Canelo has improved further and wins clearly by wide decision or even late stoppage, or if ggg throws caution to the wind, abandons the idea of leaving it for the judges and fights more than boxes to make a war out of it.
Well the only reason im not sure about fight 3 is maybe Golovkin will slow further with age, although Banks gives us a new angle and some intrigue. But it all depends on how he handle Derevyanchenko. If he looks impressive the rubber match may suddenly be really interesting again.

I have both fights as they happened a draw and a 7-5 Canelo. With that being said Gennady was hurt far worse than we've ever seen in that 2nd fight and I legitimately wonder how hes going to perform against Dervenchenko.
I think what we saw was a real physical regression in that fight. Slow, a kind of inability to get hes punches off alot like how Hagler looked in Mugabi and Leonard fights. Maybe if he does well here it was a staleness that training under Banks might address. But although some people think that age is an excuse for Golovkin, he really is at that time in life where everything starts to fall apart. Derevyanchenko could outwork him here, quite possibly.

Look at Golovkin's face after the second fight. And look at Canelo's.

                    Who would you rather be?

Isn't that the criteria that many here like to use to judge fights?

People are discussing their opinion of how they saw fight, wouldn’t be much point of a forum if we were all regurgitating box rec stats would there.
