Pretty much every other fighter would have taken an easy fight when theirs huge money involved in his next fight.
easier fight than facing a 12 fight novice?
    lol

i tihnk you'll find anyone would be glad to face a novice barely into double figures before a big fight, they'd count their lucky stars.

I really kinda hope no third fight.

I don't believe there are any circumstances under which GGG could win a decision against Canelo. The only way to beat Canelo is with a knockout, and Canelo seems to be one of those guys that is almost impossible to knock out. Plus, give Canelo his due: he's slick and fast and *very* seldom takes a clean, flush hit.

So, much as I enjoy watching GGG do his thing, there's nothing in for him to face Canelo again. He could knock Canelo down twice a round and would still just lose another dodgy decision against a guy who has the monied interests in boxing solidly in his corner. It'd be great if boxing could excrete this unfair tendency, but alas, it's part of the game and been that way for a long time.

You know how gay used to not just mean ****sexual?

But nah, let's not have a credible argument and attack the name of the individual right? Verus. Are you so ****** that you just wanted a 5 letter user and hit scramble on your phone?

          That's how dumb you are.
Well, now I know what a twinkie means in the Asian vernacular. I had no idea. Thanks for clearing that up. As to my being dumb, I guess I have to face the cold facts that I have slipped a bit over the years. I am no longer the smartest guy in the room.

Bro no he wasn't. He was considered a very good fighter who was also a southpaw, not the boogeyman. You don't get boogeyman claims with no knockout power. Boogeymen are typically either knocking fools out left and right or very skilled fighters with pop. He was neither, just a skilled southpaw. Please show me all these threads or posts with people calling him a boogeyman, I need a good laugh

At this point it's the smart thing to do. Canelo has made it obvious he doesn't want a rematch with GGG, at least while he is still on the tail end of his prime. If GGG defeats D-Chenko, he can coast along in 2020, maybe pick up a fight with Andrade, Saunders, Munguia, or even Quillin if he gets himself back into the mix. Canelo will have a tougher road ahead, he can't duck top opponents forever. Eventually he'll have to make fights to pay for that $365M contract. 2020/2021 he will need to fight Charlo, Andrade, or whoever is top at 160, and at 168 it doesn't get any easier with Smith and Plant. Canelo will run out of low risk-high reward fights soon enough and his ducking GGG may backfire on him.

Like he has a choice. All of his begging got him no where. He signed that DAZN contract thinking he would be handed another Canelo payday. Think again.

GGG is the uncrowned champ who had his crown robbed by judges. Win this fight and move on. Take a ****** belt as well as being the people's champ and reclaim the throne. When you compete with GGG and he doesn't knock you out cold and your the Golden Boy's Boy you avoid the L. No need to fight Canelo again. Fight Andrade and Saunders beat them and leave Canelo out. Call it a career if your have anything left for Charlo at 39.
