Anyone Picking Derevyanchenko To Upset GGG

Apart from Eddy and Chepo Reynoso, Andre Rozier is probably most educated and familiar in the science of Golovkin. He’s studied/been through a training camp for Golovkin and learnt from Canelo’s 2 fights with him etc.
Golovkin having Banks is good in theory as he’ll be getting him to box more and use boxing skill rather than looking for a knockout like Sanchez would want. In practice though, they’ve only had 1 fight together and now facing a top tier opponent. Will he be caught in between two styles? Derevy won’t be moving away like 95% of GG’s opponents and will be interesting to see if he can back him up. Will Golovkin get backed up all fight if he’s intending to box? I doubt it, but I think Rozier is going to try capitalise on Canelo’s success when he backed GG up and will be getting Derevy to do the same. This might turn out to be a real battle of attrition because no way GG moves away all night long.
Golovkin gets a bit too comfortable defending on the inside without throwing. A lot of time this is hitting gloves but it can appear in the moment that his opponent is winning the exchange. Mix this in with GG’s ‘my turn, your turn’ type flow he likes and his opponent can often get off his punches then get out the way and not let GG have ‘his turn.’
GG has been hit by big right hands from Jacobs and Canelo. Neither fazed him so i don’t know if it’s possible Derevy can put him on his arse or get a KO.Comment

No, Derevyanchenko is a good fighter, but not on the level of GGG. Regardless if you think Canelo beat GGG in the rematch or not, it was certainly close either way. I had Canelo edging it 7-5, but that shows the type of level of GGG is still operating on.
GGG late round stoppage in a fun entertaining fight!Comment

Unless GGG turns flat suddenly, which can happen anytime, this guy has no chance. Or unless Banks changes many things about his style, trying to turn GGG into a boxer. Otherwise, I see GGG ruining this guy.Comment
