Hard to argue with Hearn on this

I give Eddie Hearn sh#t sometimes but the Close Bid idea GENIUS actually. Posted in another thread awhile back how HBO use to just bid on BIG FIGHTS instead of signing all these fighters to exclusive to their Network then struggling to find them quality opponents
Not only should bids be just among promoters and networks/apps who the fighters are signed to, let it be a free for all in which any Network and Promoter can bid for it with ZERO strings or exclusive contracts attached

Lol That is exactly what I was suggesting in the thread about the 2 & 5M offers.
Who was it saying no there was options on Tank bla bla.
This is exactly how it should be done, fight gets made, fighters make the most money. Take out the insane promo/platform fanbois and this is win/win.
Again, you're either missing the point or avoiding it. Farmer according to you is terrible and no one wants to see him fight, you are saying this is a thread about how he was just offered $2M by Showtime for 1 fight, has Tank made that much in a single fight? I honestly don't know.
So we have dazn offering Tank $5M, Showtime offering Farmer $2M, I'm suggesting the fighters agree to a split, then whichever network offers the most gets it, its a one off, they both get paid, we get the fight. Boxing fans win, networks fans not so much.Last edited by andocom; 08-22-2019, 04:50 PM.Comment

Idk about that being a 60/40 fight in pay. Was Eddie going to pay Tevin 3.3M then? Thats seems high.
But yea the bid thing should be a thing promoters do for cross promotion/platform fights.Comment

Neither does Eddie, if that is what he would settle for he wouldn't have said it up front.Comment
