What Fight Happens First? Spence vs Crawford or Canelo vs Charlo

Both Bud and Mall got the unenviable situation of being on the wrong side of the street in their respective divisions. Both guys are strong top guys in their divisions but I feel like both fights happen as long as everyone keeps winning.

All that said which fight do you think happens first and why do you think that is?

Spence vs Crawford should happen first because it’s been talked about longer and also I don’t think Spence will be able to make 47 for long. Mall is a big dude so he can go to 68 if needed.

        Spence/Crawford I think.

I just don’t see how Spence and Crawford can avoid each other much longer. There really isn’t any other better fight for either.

Canelo has plenty of better options. That and Charlo seems the most likely of the group to take a loss and go to the back of the line.

          BUD/SPENCE.
This fight has been talked about for longer and more often.
Even the casuals should know who both these guys are.
          With Charlo not so much.

Canelo-Charlo, for the simple fact that Bob Arum doesn't do business with anyone when he's not dictating the terms.

Errol Spence Jr just had a successful PPV against Mikey Garcia (350k+ from what's been put out there), he's now set for a good 4-week PPV build and likely profitable PPV with Shawn Porter, and a Pacquiao PPV is likely in the works for this Winter (after Wilder-Ortiz 2; possibly into the Spring based on what happens with Davis-Farmer).

Spence handles his business, and he's a PPV attraction for the rest of his run in the sport.

With Jerry Jones backing him, Barclays as his second home, and now getting pushed to the casuals on the West coast (Vegas/LA), Spence isn't taking the short pot against anyone not named Canelo or Floyd.

Is Bob Arum ever going to send Crawford over for a Man Down Promotions/DiBella Entertainment/TGB Promotions at any price? Not a chance while Arum is still drawing breath on this planet.

So Arum is going to slow-walk the announcement of the 'Mean Machine' fight (talk about it for the Fall, but stretch it into the Winter if possible), hope that Kell Brook is open to torturing himself down to 147, hope that Jose Ramirez steps into the void, string in another BS fight or so, and maybe offer Danny Garcia double his money to not wait on Spence.

And he's going to try and play the press game, to hopefully find a leverage point that will get his name back on the marquee.

Alvarez and Charlo is basically a money negotiation.

I think Spence vs Crawford will happen eventually but I have no idea when. I don't think Canelo vs Jermall will ever happen. Canelo seems to have lost the desire to fight the top middleweights. He could have been fighting Andrade, Dervy, Jermall or GGG on his regular September date but instead he is waiting until December to hopefully fight Kovalev. Maybe making 160 has become hard for him. Jermall is a better and more dangerous fighter than Andrade. Anyway I do think Spence and Crawford fight each other someday and Canelo and Jermall will never fight each other. Jermall would love that big Canelo payday but he won't get it.

Canelo vs Charlo will happen first because charlo's side actually realizes they are the B side to canelo.

I think Charlo will lose to one of the top guys and he is not on the same level as Spence, Crawford and Canelo. So yeah I don't think it will happen unless the fight is next year. Charlo will lose and people won't be that interested in it.
