Ugh least interesting Usyk fight in a couple years.

But I guess if he's a mando what do we expect. He gots a HW title shot guaranteed as long as he doesn't lose. Sh^t I'd be lining up Curtis Harper to leave the ring before the first round started if I was Usyk.

You're reading too much into it I think, this is just an initial foray into HW and they've secured one of the best gatekeepers in the division for his first test, simple as that. Similar dimensions to Takam so it won't effect their gameplan too much, the tests will come soon enough

Technically - Usyk has already been tested against a top 20 HW. Bellew - based on his 2 wins over Haye. An asterisk maybe. But Gerald Washington is now a top 20 cuz he dusted Helenius. Point is - this is an unnecessary exhibition. Another f**kup for Matchroom

I still think he fights the winner of Parker/Chisora after this, then gets the title shot

Usyk vs Ruiz would be quite compelling!..

Link to something suggesting he has to fight the winner.

I coulda swore I read he was in line now for a title shot no mando fight or eliminator required & its just a matter of his number coming up with the WBO's place in the title shot line.

No, you are correct about that, but the winner of Ruiz/AJ 2 has to take the IBF mandatory (Pulev) first, not to mention Ruiz could look to unify with Wilder. Unless that belt is dropped, Usyk will be waiting a while to get his shot, probably a year from now, if not longer. So he will take AT LEAST 1 fight inbetween Fedosov and then and I've just gotten the impression from things I've seen that the Parker/Chisora winner could be used as the stepping stone to that fight

Yea I'm sure he'll have to have a fight or two before he gets his shot.

Is this just a inhouse DAZN thing with the Parker vs Del Boy winner.

I think Usyk beats either guy regardless.

Would be crazy to see shorter HWs take over.

I remember him from the Boxcino tourney. Last thing Friday Night Fights did before it went off the air for good. (I actually miss all the club fighter and "C" level competition throwing leather on Fridays after football season.)

It does not excite me. This is a HUGE step down from Takam. But it is Usyk, so I will be paying attention. I mean, I could do the road trip to see it. If Usyk makes the short work of this most of us think he will, it will be nice to see him finally in the HW mix.
