So what time do u expect them to fight? Do expect them to fight so it corresponds with the usual main event time for USA fights? Or UK? Or Saudi? I haven’t heard much talk about that. AJ has the stroke to drag the champ to Saudi, but whose time will he be fighting on?

Personally I'm not that bothered if it's in SA or not provided the fight happens. I just dont like people being hypocrites like OP. Suddenly he has a conscious when AJ fights in SA. Then again he is a self professed AJ hater so I shouldn't be surprised

It seems like they could say the wrong thing and end up being executed. It last happened months ago.

I wouldn't go if I was a journalist. You totally missed out on the Amir Khan event! Not for the fights, but to see the shockingly bad production they put on for it. It was so cringe. Had to be seen to be believed.

Eddie Hearn said after he signed Hughie Fury that 3 million people watched it in UK. It was live on channel 5 here which is a free non subscription channel. It was awful. Peters got into the ring after his ring walk to face Hughie, then the presenter goes and sits down on the seats in the audience telling jokes for around 15 minutes! The commentators were bemused to say the least

Peters is just standing around forever like an idiot. Then Hughie comes down, then after their terrible fight. There's about 20 minutes of nothing, then a 20 minute rap concert by some guy I've never heard of and never want to see again.

Following this, Amir Khan beats up someone who looks about 5 weight divisions below him. On top of this, the worst sound system in the history of sport was also present in this event. Not one word could be heard from any of the post fight interviews.

Billy Dib was so bad against Khan, that I'm surprised he didn't break some "sub-par" performance from a foreign national, Saudi Law and get beheaded in the ring after the fight.

I complained quite a bit about the CW finals until they sold it to Russia. After that I just assumed that the saudi’s would do the same if they won anymore bids.

Oh ****, I didn't realize it was the same card as Fury/Peters. I watched about 4 rounds of that fight a few days later and ended up turning it off.

I'm wondering though...does Saudi Arabia allow internet/television? or are they like North Korea? I'm curious if they actually think that Amir Khan is the WW champ of the world now lmfao

I wasn't sure about the SA internet thing, but this pretty much covers it, copied from wiki.

The Saudi government closely monitors media and restricts it under official state law. Changes have been made to lessen these restrictions; however, some government-led efforts to control information have also drawn international attention. In 2014, Reporters Without Borders described the government as, "relentless in its censorship of the Saudi media and the Internet," and in 2018, it ranked Saudi Arabia 169th out of 180 countries for freedom of the press.

Yeah, they'll probably think Khan is the P4P king now. Along with Khan himself. The Hughie fight was awful, but I'm hoping for a better showing from him against Povetkin next week. The one thing I'd say for Hughie is I've never seen him be even slightly hurt, looks to have a good chin at least.
