Possibly, I think AJ has to get in and out of those pockets quickly (like he did when he dropped Ruiz). He can't beat Ruiz to the punch because of Ruiz superior hand speed so he shouldn't stay at short range for too long.
We'll prob see him fighting long and using his jab and only going for it if he knows Ruiz is hurt. I wouldn't call it a flash knockdown as Ruiz was buzzed but he has quick recovery which he showed after being put down.Comment

I honestly agree with Joshua, too often the trainer is used as an excuse for bad results - at the end of the day he can help you prepare but he can't throw or take punches for you. Also take into account that Ruiz was a late replacement for Miller and the two are quite different fighters, which had to disrupt McCracken and Joshua's prep for the fight quite heavily. The real litmus test for McCracken is whether Joshua's tactics are right in the rematch after they've had a chance to properly prepare (assuming it even happens at this stage.)Comment

Emanuel Steward fixed Vlad Klitschko's issues. Those very same issues. That's what Joshua needs. Fight tall. Use the jab. Slow the fight down. Lean all over your opponent and hold. Makes for a real boring fight lol.Comment

If you look, rather than assume, you would see that more people say he should drop McCracken, so your conclusion is nonsense.Comment

He was punched behind the ear, it is a notoriously bad place to get hit and he didn't recover.I agree with you. It’s more his fan base that’s been echoing it being a lucky punch. Ruiz hit Joshua with a fast hard combo. Type of combos he’s been throwing his whole career.
I gave Joshua one round for the fight, which was either the second or the fifth (don’t remember) but yeah, Ruiz has his number.
Anybody getting hit there will suffer concussion to a varying degree.
Lucky punch? It was lucky for Ruiz that it landed precisely where it did, it was all over when it landed as AJ's brain was scrambled, not a lucky punch, but a fight ending punch.Comment

Well, kid's a dumbass. I could fix him in a week or two. His problems are not hard to fix, he's got a **** trainer. Most boxers have **** trainers. Most trainers just hitch their wagon to a talent that was going to be great no matter who trained them. Jay Deas has a whole career based on Wilder's right hand and McCracken tagged the gold medal winner who debuted with more fan fare in history. ****in' easy man, any of youse could do that.
It's really not complicated. Kid's posture is ****. Someone needs to be on his ass about his **** posture when he hits the bag and shadow boxers....because it's **** even then. Get that posture right in practice, get it right in sparring, get him back in the ring anywhere on the planet because we don't need judges for this fight.
Great at everything else, **** posture that will get you KO'd and this guy right here has been talking about that since 2014 so I don't want to hear any bull****. I told y'all he'd get KO'd. I told you he'd crumble during an exchange, told you for years without ever claiming who because who does the KO'ing never mattered.
Josh is right about one thing. His loss is an easy loss to recover from and Andy is not special or even that damn good. Andy has better posture which gave him advantage in the exchange. End of. That's it, that's his one better, posture. Josh's one serious flaw was always susceptible to KO. It's the most likely outcome. He got KO'd and I'll be damned if he don't come back stiff backed again because Rob ****in' McCracken has had years and titles worth of time to fix a very simple and very basic flaw.
He should drop his whole damn team. They failed him when he needed them. Look at how ****in' broken he is when Andy smacks him about. That's Rob's fault. There is no reason outside of poor training and not knowing what to do for Josh to lose that fight.
**** Rob McCracken, I blame him 100%. Not Hearn who trains Josh, Hearn's right to think Josh can take Andy, he can, easily actually. If Rob did his ****in' job we wouldn't be talking about the benefits of loyalty....like dumbasses.Comment
