Kovalev is in the twilight of his career (the reason Canelo wants to fight him), while Yarde is young and powerful, but still inexperienced/raw. AY makes mistakes and if Kovalev still has decent reflexes, then Krusher should prevail. I question just how much heart Krusher has left for boxing. Yarde has holes in his defense and throws wide power shots, but is a live dog in this one though. This is a pick'em fight ( 50/50 ) to me. Kov in his prime destroys Yarde, but this version of him may succumb to Yarde's sheer determination/power.

Depends on whether Yarde can adapt to Kovalev's style and close the range. Kovalev is a huge step up so Yarde could feel overwhelmed and out of his depth which means there's a risk Kovalev KOs him early, sort of like what happened to Silakh. If Yarde allows Kovalev the space and distance he needs to work for extended periods, he'll get stopped. That low left hand leaves him open to Kovalev's right hand all night so it could prove a fatal flaw in this fight or it might work as an effective bait-counter. If Yarde can adapt to Kovalev's style early doors, can mitigate his reach, is defensively tight and gets into a rhythm, there's a possibility he KOs Kovalev.

I'd say a 60-40 fight in Kovalev's favor based on his experience and skills but Yarde has a legitimate shot to pull off the upset. That's assuming that the properly prepared Kovalev who showed up against Alvarez in the rematch shows up against Yarde.

Had very limited opposition. Watched many of his fights, big guy, hard puncher. the Kovalev from Ward 1 wins easy. Now, i say 70-30 Kovalev, then 100-0 Kovalev.

He thinks he's Ali/RJJ/Floyd rolled into one. But he's never took a tough fight before now. He avoided the British title route, because he didn't want to fight Hosea Burton, a rangy, elusive boxer. All he ever fights is fringe-Euro fighters with no power and a come forward, flat-footed style. He is actually really untested and I was shocked he has gone through with this fight. There is literally no way of knowing how well he will perform, because he has never faced adversity. He could be asleep as soon as he gets hit, because he's never fought anyone with even a fraction of Kovalev's power. He has also gotten away with things like pushing his opponents, always being the A-side on Warren cards. He has a few habits that he will be getting warnings for when fighting in another fighter's backyard.

I have seen very little of him fighting but I checked is record and he never beat anybody ranked higher than 36th in the world by boxrec.A boxer can do too much strength training and become too muscular. It takes speed away from their punches and hurts their stamina. He must punch hard because he has all those KOs but that was against weak Competition. I think Kovalev will slaughter him.
