AJ is right, it WAS a lucky punch that beat him

The punch that beat AJ was the one that Ruiz landed behind the ear, that was the punch that ended the fight realistically. THAT punch was lucky AF. Ruiz wasn’t even looking when he landed it, just swinging hoping for the best, and his luck came in.

Anything that happened after that lucky punch is invalid.

    AJ is 110% right.

The problem with calling it a "lucky punch" is the fact he was able to land it. Think about it.

In order to land a punch behind the ear, the opponent has to have (******ly) had their head perfectly in range for it to land. If you're the taller fighter, how is that even possible? It shouldn't be - if you're fighting tall. Now, Ruiz has good reach and basically closed distance perfectly. So the only way that shot could have landed is that Joshua wasn't moving his head when Ruiz came in - in other words, he didn't think Ruiz could reach him.

      I don't call that a "lucky shot". I call that fighting ******.

There's no such thing as a lucky punch in boxing.

If a fighter lands a punch on you it's because you failed to defend yourself.

            Bingo.

            F
Undersog fighters are throwing "lucky" type punches all the time in the ring, but the better fighters are able to avoid them.

Does somebody think AJ is a hard to hit? Old and slow Wlad was teeing off on him at one point. AJ vs Ruiz was supposed to be about Ruiz unable to take the shots of AJ. The fact of the matter though, is that they teed off on each other and AJ could not keep up.

Lucky punch? Don't you at least mean 4 lucky punches? Give him some credit for the knock downs too.

The Brit-shits are in full damage control but we're not buying it.

AJ got caught. It happens, get over it.

Now he absolutely could win the rematch but he can't sit there and trade with Ruiz. We know that he could hurt Ruiz, he just has to stay on the outside.

Ruiz aimed the punch, he threw the punch and he landed the punch. Nothing lucky about it. If you use that logic everybody that got knocked out got knocked out by a lucky punch. Besides it wasn't one punch that ended the fight. It was many well thrown accurate fast punches by Ruiz and 4 knockdowns that ended the fight. I have a feeling Ruiz will get lucky again in the rematch.

No such thing as a lucky punch in boxing. But if you want to say a punch was lucky the one
Tarver landed on Roy in the rematch was. tarver had his head down when he threw it knocking him out instantly so you would have a case.

Joshua got stopped rounds later and got dropped 3x in the process.

If he’s so afraid of New York City maybe he can head over to Huntington Beach
