So many goofy dudes around here that want you to believe they're PED specialists, network execs, promoters, managers, etc. Just STFU already.
Why is DAZN is paying a B tier PBC fighter $5.5 million?

It's good to see so many boxing fans and math prodigies interested in the financial aspects of the sport.
Seriously, why are some fans concerned with what a fighter earns?
DAZN won't rise or fall on it's boxing, but right now it's one more platform for the sport and that's not a bad thing.Comment

Calls me an idiot but can't come up with a counter argument as to how GGG vs Chenko will do good numbers and why paying a bottom tier fighter in terms of popularity $5.5 million makes sense.
DAZN's numbers are so low that they don't release them, they only do for Canelo. GGG vs chenko doesn't move the needle and will result in low viewership once again. It won't even produce a big gate so.......

Dereveynchenko is BOTH. He primarily fights on PBC cards and is a fighter promoted on their website/social media accounts. The only recent time he hasn't fought on a PBC card was against Jacobs on HBO. So yes he's a PBC fighter
Jacobs and Vargas are haymon advised fighters but aren't PBC fighters because they signed exclusive network deals with DAZN. Dereveynchenko doesn't fall under that category.Last edited by mcdonalds; 08-20-2019, 01:25 PM.Comment

They also show Amir Khan who left Haymon 2 years. Eleiser Alvarez isn’t a pbc fighter. He’s signed to top rank and fights on Espn. Oscar Rivas is a Matchroom fighter and shows on the pbc website. Danny Jacobs is on there and the whole world knows hes a DAZN fighter.
Long story short don’t go by who’s on the pbc website.Comment
