... Back in 2015, Canelo could have fought GGG for the WBA, IBO, interim WBC MW belts... but Canelo "chose" to face little Cotto who was about 153½... and then Canelo ducked GGG for other 2 years... WTF???...

OK, back then GGG was "only" 33 yo...

But Triple g didn't sign with Haymon cause he wanted no part of Charlo. FACTS!
As far as Canelo negotiating with Triple g while getting ready to face Khan well you make great points. And your right. He could of cause that's exactly what he did when he was getting ready to fight Chavez.
So I won't dispute any of that. But at the end of the day he fought him twice already. So IDK why people think he's ducking him now....
Canelo is stepping up by fighting Kovalev next if he wins this weekend... What other fighter is fighting top competition the way Canelo is??
And I'll bet money on this too.
If Canelo beats Kovalev his next fight will either be against Triple g or Andrade. Those are all tough fights for Canelo.
Who else is stepping up like him???
I don't think canelo is ducking ggg this time around out of fear. I think he's just being a diva because he's salty about ggg calling him a ped user. But could you blame ggg for that? I think canelo saying he needs to earn it by winning a title is understandable but also kind of lame because he's pretending as if both fights weren't controversial. I understood Marquez not wanting to give pac another shot because he knocked pac the fk out. Canelo doesn't have a decisive win vs ggg and I'd think as a competitor, he should want one. As far as competition, yes Canelo has faced a lot of top names but, so has every fighter that was a top ppv name/superstar in the sport. When you're a big name, you have the chance to fight whoever you want because nobody ever ducks you because they want the pay day. That's why prior to Canelo, guys like mayweather, pac, Cotto, Oscar, Trinidad, Leonard all faced the best names in the sport. Everyone wanted the chance to fight them because they knew a pay day came with it. They didn't have to deal with people assessing their risk vs reward the way ggg did in his prime and the way guys like andrade and Charlo are dealing with now.

Yes you're right. Everything you said is true and I won't argue with you on any of that. Only difference is now boxing has become more political and now there's networks/promoters that get in the way of making fights so it's harder to get fights made ...
You never heard SRL say a certain fighter is on the wrong side of the street and questioning who the other fighter is gonna fight,...
In the past fighter's just wanted to fight and promoters were willing to work together to make fights happen.... Now the politics are making it harder and harder to make certain fights happen....
Now I don't believe any fighter is ducking another fighter cause they fear him. But too many fighter's are worried about what another fighter is doing, how much money another fighter is making, and who's he aligned to. And certain promoters are unwilling to work with another promoter just cause he don't like him... That's bullshet and it's ruining boxing. Now I'll give Canelo some of the blame for certain fights not happening but I also blame other fighters and promoters for certain fights not happening.

I thought GGG won 6 rounds vs Jacobs (the KD was the winning factor for GGG) I thought a game Alvarez won 7 rounds vs Jacobs.

So based on the fact that Sergei lost by SD to Danny, he doesn't seem far from the elite level.

I expect a war, because dudes ain't no runners.

that's accurate. Before it was just king vs arum. Now there's way too many conflicts between networks and promotional companies.

Nice I like this fight. Good upset potential here. GGG better be careful in this one & I suspect we do see a very jab friendly keeping his distance verision of him in this one. Also good potential for this one to be a war if GGG does take the more aggressive route from the start or later in the fight. Fight of the year potential on this one.

Canelo didn't dare to fight Martinez for the MW title... he waited for Cotto instead...
