This guy has a higher opinion of himself than he really needs to have. Crawford would flat out demolish him... break him down and stop him, earlier than Granados did. I'd imagine Bud would welcome such an easy title challenge.... so this actually could happen.

Arum is trying to bring in name fighters close to the WW division, fatten them up and feed them to Crawford. PBC has all the top fighters at WW, so Top Rank is doing its best to keep Crawford relevant. The Spence fight won't happen until '21. He has Porter now, with Manny, and probably Thurman next summer.

I was high on this kid until Granados stopped him. He does hit hard but he just doesn't look fluid throwing combos. I was at the Ramirez fight and Imam got busted up pretty good. I'm sure his first fight back will be an easy touch.

So if you want to fight Crawford you have to join Top Rank. What a joke match ups are becoming, two parallel universes here.

What I got from that article is that Imam is chasing a fight with Crawford, not that Crawford is chasing a fight with him. Crawford is chasing a fight with Spence, who won’t even mention his name at this point.
Quite how you’ve interpreted that as Crawford taking the easy route to easy fights I don’t know.

I can’t see Thurman ever taking a fight with Spence, and I like Thurman.
He’s astute enough to know from his reaction to the body shots from collazo and Pacquiao that Spence would fold him in half with his work to the body.

They'd be considered pretty big for the weight class so yeah an offer to them would make sense although I expect the winner of that to face Ramirez for the undisputed which would make a move up a huge deal and brilliant fight for Crawford to take.

Why doesn't Crawford chase a fight with D. Garcia? Ugas? When asked about Porter & Thurman last year Bob dismissed those fights. Crawford doesn't have a better WW resume than Porter or Thurman. How does he get to fight the Kgcd$gifvj of the world and jump right into the top WW without facing other top WW's?

Hand on heart though, isn’t Spence v Crawford the fight you really want to see?
We give boxers stick for perceived ducking or taking easy fights, we even give fighters grief for chasing the biggest fight they can when it’s delusional and not the biggest fight that can be made (khan chasing mayweather is obvious example), but how can we criticise a fighter trying to make the biggest fight out there when it’s a bona fide mega fight and the match that 90% of the fans really want and see as the most competitive in the division.

I see what your saying about Crawfords resume at 147, but that doesn’t change the fact that most people regard him as the biggest test for Spence out there and THE fight to make. No one wants to hear the marinade nonsense, make the fight now, don’t let it turn into a mayweather v Pacquiao affair that’s made later than it should have been.
